Platanos — Restaurant in Municipality of Agios Vasileios

Little coffee shop at the top of the restaurant plaza area and near the water fountains the name Platanos means plane tree or in English we call sycamore tree. The coffee shop is built around a beautiful huge sycamore giving shade to the almost the whole seating area. The coffee was great as were the smoothies. They didn’t have any cake when we were there so they allowed us to go to the bakery and eat there whilst we drank our coffee. Good fast...

Den guten Rezensionen gefolgt und enttäuscht worden. Das Omelett war wässrig und geschmacksneztral. Das bisher traurigste Produkt, was wir, aus Eiern zubereitet, verzehrt haben. Die servierten Nudeln waren leider nicht besser, sie waren statt Salz, vornehmlich mit Pfeffer zubereitet und dadurch ungenießbar. Das gratis servierte trockene Brot war leider, genau wie der auf niedriger Temperatur frittierte, dadurch fettige, Feta, keinen Besuch wert. Der griechische Salat war genießbar und im Durchschnitt sättigend, ist aber an vielen Orten auf der Insel meist in besserer Qualität zu haben. Hinzu kam das Essen kam so zeitversetzt an den Tisch, das eine Person ihr Essen erst bekam, als der Tisch schon zu Ende gegessen hatte.

Das Ambiente ist schön, unter einer massiven Platane und über dem Trubel des Zentrums. Für ein erfrischendes Getränk sicherlich ein passendes Plätzchen, für Essen eher nicht...
