Read moreAn incredible place that is just too easy to miss out on!
The shop is full, and I mean full, of local made bio products that range from exotic soaps, to herbs, local wines and honey, to cosmetic products made by maravel garden. Everything very well priced and of good quality.
The snack-bar was incredibly full of products, from a wide range of teas and smoothies to local recipes that are incredibly, and I mean it, tasty. We had a few traditional Cretan pieces that were 3.50€ each and two smoothies, we were full! Incredible value for money! And the service is done by a cute robot :)
And if that was not enough to make you stop by, there is an incredibly big botanical garden full of every single type of plant you can think of, a church and even to small museums recalling the ancient mills of the area.
It was an incredible find that really is worth a visit! Oh, and besides all of the aforementioned, you can also go wine tasting and do a Raki laboratory, very interesting and well priced for those who want a different experience! Be sure to check their website in advance as they have some nice events going on!
Reserve this place at least a 1.5-2 hour time slot in order to experience it! The staff is very helpful and will speak to you in a...
Read moreThis place has a huge potential if taken care of. It kind of looked like minimal gardening effort has been made. Typical to Greece it was very wild and random. Huge shop that's interesting yet majority of the products are imported. Disappointingly the dried Lemon Verbena herb that i bought has no flavour, apparently it's expired or incorrectly dried.
UPDATE - i write reviews on google for others to consider if a place is worth to visit for them. It really pisses me off when an owner takes it personally. I had to change for 1 star only because of the owner/manager takes enough time to reply with self justification but not take into account the numerous reviews that suggest there can be done something to make the visit more pleasing for people that spend their time and money to drive there and buy something.
My biggest disappointment really was the local tea that had no flavour, i didn't buy any of the Chinese imported goods that fill the first room. In the second room you'll find a lot of locally produced soap, cosmetics, and herbs but it all just looks so worn down and off. Maybe because it was end of September and i should have known the service and produce loses it's quality towards the end...
