Botilia — Restaurant in Municipality of Amorgos

The view is good if you like to check on the neighbors solar panel. You get a better angle from the street. Small cosy bar inside looks ok but seems to be only for staff’s friends. Music was nice and not to loud as commonly in this kind of place. Homemade cocktails too sweet and taste like fruit sirop, therefore is a big no. Go for a single soft/hard drink. The waitress I would have loved for her to know how to count and not to yelled at the customers in the streets when she is mistaken on a bill twice. Finally came across an excellent restaurant in Amorgos after visiting a ton of recommended placed: menu has revisited classics such as zucchini balls (which were excellent) and some local flavoured dishes: took spinach croquettes (wonderful) and pitas with lamb and chicken. While pitas were excellent, they were a tiny bit dry to my personal taste. Despite that, restaurant is definitely a must visit while in Amorgos and definitely not to be missed if you are in Chora. The place is really nice and the view to the lunar eclipse was a huge plus, the day we visited. The thing is, you cannot give more than three stars to a cocktail bar, when your cocktail has almost no alcohol. We ordered two margaritas, and although they were tasty, it was like drinking fruit juice. I honestly couldn't tell if there was tequila in them.
