Transistoraki — Restaurant in Municipality of Amorgos

Transistoraki was recommended to us by the hotel owner and google reviews were excellent, so we had no doubt and we tried it. Food was simply delicious: simple dishes but with a sophisticated but not excessive at all touch. Nothing you could find in other more traditional restaurants, but still with all focus on the quality of the ingredients and on taste. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful: we were going to order too many dishes and they suggested us to order less, so that we could enjoy them better and the wine they proposed was the best we have tried on the islands. Lovely restaurant located in Chora. Quick service and helpful staff. It can get very busy after 6pm and it does not take reservations so would recommend to attend earlier if you d like to avoid a long wait. Tables are small as they are located along the alley and since it’s one of the main passages, people are passing through whilst you eat. It's as good as the reviews say. Totally charming in a little alley in Chora. The food is extremely tasty. We had one of the best Greek salads of our trip here. Fava is delicious with caramelized onions. The handmade kebab was out of this world. Flavor was full of spices and really authentic to middle east/Turkish influences.
