Ηλιοστάσι (Heliostasi - Traditional Restaurant) — Restaurant in Municipality of Apokoronas

We went to this tavern on our first night in Crete. The service was good, the food was ok but priced as if fine dining and we foolishly paid the €36 they charge for the Dourakis vidiano that we saw at the next days taverna where the competing restaurant charges €23.50.

We know what wine we purchased (as I worked in the industry). Also, the food was ok but overpriced. In addition, we came to the shop at around 9:30pm, it was completely empty but still had to make multiple requests before water or other basics were brought to the table.

This review is not only focused on the wine which seems to be what you've understood. It has to do with ok food being sold at mismatched prices, basic service and to inform the options available to locals and tourists.

I don't seek to ruin your reputation but rather to inform holiday goers with an honest appraisal of what is on offer. Rather than change what I stand by as a. honest review (of which I don't leave many negative ones). My suggestion is consider who your competitors are, what they offer and how you compare.

This restaurant has a beautiful view and a great place for a beer. The food is ok but overpriced and the service might need some reminders. That was our experience, maybe it was because it was a public holiday...

Absolute hidden gem! Great view, the most lovely owner you can imagine and traditional food cooked to perfection! We couldn‘t tip enough since we were so happy and the value for money is outstanding.

We had various apetizers and each one was seasoned just right and served with love. Some of us didn‘t even make it to the main course, their loss. The main courses continued this trend of love for the traditional taste. The huge bottle of Raki and plate of tasty treats at the end of the evening were on the house. This was actually our second visit, on the first a couple days earlier we were invited for the saturday music night and we enjoyed the music just as much as the food& drinks. Este o plăcere să împărtășesc câteva cuvinte de laudă și apreciere pentru restaurantul Heliostasi - Traditional, un loc minunat unde am avut o experiență culinară memorabilă. De la momentul în care am pășit în acest local, am fost întâmpinați cu o atmosferă primitoare și o ambianță caldă și plăcută. Decorul tradițional al restaurantului aduce un strop de farmec autentic și te invită să te relaxezi și să te bucuri de o masă delicioasă într-un cadru autentic. Mâncarea servită la Heliostasi - Traditional este cu adevărat remarcabilă. Fiecare preparat este pregătit cu atenție și pasiune, folosind ingrediente proaspete și de cea mai înaltă calitate. Am avut ocazia să savurez diverse mâncăruri tradiționale grecești, iar gusturile autentice și aromele bogate m-au impresionat profund. De la delicioasele meze-uri și salatele proaspete până la preparatele principale cu carne sau pește, fiecare fel de mâncare a fost o încântare pentru simțurile mele. Personalul de la Heliostasi - Traditional merită, de asemenea, toate laudele. Ei au fost extrem de atenți și amabili, oferindu-ne o experiență de servire impecabilă și asigurându-se că ne simțim ca acasă de la început până la sfârșit. În plus, nu pot să nu menționez priveliștea uimitoare pe care o oferă restaurantul. Amplasat într-o zonă pitorească, Heliostasi - Traditional ne-a oferit ocazia să ne bucurăm de o panoramă superbă în timp ce savuram fiecare bucată din această călătorie culinară. Recomand cu căldură acest loc tuturor celor care doresc să descopere adevărata bucatărie tradițională grecească și să se bucure de o experiență culinară autentică și memorabilă.
