Tucked away on the street down from ancient ruins, this family-run restaurant in Mycenae feels like stepping into someone's home—because, in many ways, it is. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with heartfelt smiles and the kind of hospitality that can’t be faked. Whether you’re hungry after exploring the archaeological sites or simply chasing the taste of true Greek hospitality, this charming spot deserves a visit. It’s one of those places that stays with you long after the last bite. The food was tasty. I had delicious chicken souvlaki, my husband had a tuna salad with apples, my children had a greek salads and each one of us was debating as to who had ordered the best dish. It had parking, very clean WCs and was able to accommodate our party of 9.

We went to the archaeological park and were driving to our next destination. While driving we were looking for a place to eat a late lunch and we passed a couple of places that didn't look that good. Then the man and woman who own the Electra Restaurant waved to us from their patio and that sealed the deal. We stopped and went in. The food was fabulous and the owners were very kind. After dinner the wife wanted to give my son some ice cream, but we were too full. My steak was wonderful as were the fries. And the salad was amazing too. Simple and delicious. Not only was the food excellent, but it was inexpensive. I don't know if I'll be back at Mycenae anytime soon, but if I am ... I'll make eating here part of the plan. Great food. Great people. Great prices.

Great, friendly stop after visiting the ruins at Mycenae. Perfect lunch with friendly service. We had a mixed salad and souvlaki. Both the chicken and the pork were delicious. Two of us ordered the souvlaki with pita and that included tzatziki, salad, pita bread, and a souvlaki kebab. The souvlaki plate (without pita) was perfect for me as I cannot eat gluten or dairy and it did not include tzatziki or pita. At the end, they offered us a sweet Greek treat or yogurt with honey. My family chose the sweet treat and it was phyllo dough with an apple and cinnamon mixture between the layers. Family owned and operated since 1967 and it is evident that the owners really care that you enjoy your meal and have a great experience. Thanks for a lovely afternoon.

I was little worried when I saw no one inside. I found it on Google with a 4.8 star rating with over 800 reviews and had 5 members of my family following my recommendation.

We were welcomed by an elderly yet upbeat man (who was the owner) who let us pick our table, gave us our menus then served us bread and water. The menus were simple, hand written and photocopied inside with a selection of simple Greek recipes (later we found out this was because it was just the elderly man and his wife that ran the restaurant).

We ordered moussaka, chicken souvlaki x3, rice stuffed peppers and greek salad. Everything was exceptional, the moussaka made fresh, the chicken was extremely moist, the peppers were flavourful and the salad was crisp.

Then to top it all off, the bill for 6 of us was just under £60. Do not let the lack of crowd turn you away but draw you in, truly a remarkable establishment and...

I did not expect to find such a great food experience at such a remote place. I even believed that the rating was fake, but I was absolutely wrong and was absolutely positively surprised. An old gentleman invited us kindly and offered the place with the best ventilation. We ordered two salads and two souvlakis with drinks. The owner excused himself that we had to wait till the meat gets properly fried. And finally we got 4 huge, very well prepared, very tasty and very nicely presented plate. None of them reached 10 Euros ! We are already in Greece for a week now and have been in a few good restaurants, but this was the best food we found so far. Not just compared to the price, but absolutely. At the end we got water melon as a gift and the owner did not even accept a tip. I...
