Limeri — Restaurant in Municipality of Chania

The host was great so was the place but I can't say the same for all the food as the "apaki" was very hard to chew and seemed like yesterday cooked ,the "anticristo" was moderate to good the "ntakos" was great and the sausage was nice the best of all plates was the treat at the end "loukoumades" maybe one of the best treat I 've ever tasted in a restaurant unfortunately I don't have any photos to spare due to dead battery.You must try also the draft local beer called "harma" it's a marvel😲😲😲.the guy working there is very friendly & for sure will treat you "raki".The place is approx. 45 minutes from chania so you better do not drink because the distance is big and the turns are a lot.3 stars pointing value for money as I consider it to be a bit more expensive from the other restaurants.i would have put 4 stars but I wasn't moved from any of the...

An unforgettable experience at Limeri in Theriso!

We originally came to Theriso intending to visit another taverna, but everything else was closed—thankfully, Limeri was open, and what a blessing that turned out to be! The owner, Γιάννης (Yiannis), was absolutely amazing. He welcomed us like family and was incredibly warm and kind, especially with our kids—he truly made them feel special, which means so much when you’re traveling as a family.

And the food? 20/10. I don’t even know how that math works, but it does here. Honestly some of the best traditional Greek cuisine we’ve ever had. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. You can tell this place is run with heart and pride.

Awesome food, great location, owners that care and have a good sence of humor! For those that have been critical about this jewel of a taverna...please get a grip...expecting kids menus, major metropolitan amenities or are visiting to have a hamburger...well open your eyes and realize you are in God's country where life is hard yet simple and 95% of what you are eating is grown or raised locally. Good luck finding that in London, Paris or New York city... I highly recommend this eatery but don't expect them to serve you gold and kiss your behind, for that see the cities mentioned above and expect to pay a weeks salary for the privilege.
