Terrible experience. Took over half an hour to even get to order, and when the waiter arrived at our table, he just stood there silent, didn’t even say anything; WE had to start the conversation. When speaking to us he were very rude. From the moment we ordered until the food arrived, about 75 min passed. I am a vegetarian which is the reason I ordered fried zucchini and French fries. The zucchini tasted like fish which I definitely did not appreciate; in fact I had to ask wether it really WAS zucchini or not. The French fries were tasteless and badly fried. On top of that the food was the most expensive dinner of our stay in Samos. We didn’t get an apology for being late, didn’t get compensated or anything. We actually considered leaving the restaurant when the waiter hadn’t showed up when half an hour had passed, but just when we were getting up, he arrived. Conclusion: do not visit this restaurant,...
Read moreUnfortunately, it was a real disappointment for us, especially with the arrogance of the boss (?). Because the restaurant doesn't open until 7 p.m., we ended up waiting somewhere for two hours. The start was perfect: the Caesar salad was good, fresh, and large, but the local white wine was a bit sour. Then came the fish, fried in lots of oil, with absolutely no side dish at all, not even a small green decoration. My complaint was met with the arrogant remark that it had been done this way for 20 years. If something has been done badly for 20 years, that just shows the wrong attitude. Every Turkish restaurant has nicer decor, not to mention the rest of the world. The plate of garlic shrimp tasted perfect but was small. What a shame, it really ruined our last evening.
Read moreIt is strange to review a restaurant where we did not eat, but it is strange too what we experienced there. We (2 persons) arrived and sat at a small table outside. We waited for about 10-15 min, and then the waiter came and told us that ...we had to leave! He said that he was expecting a group of 9 people to arrive shortly, and was planning to join our table with some more (still occupied) tables, to serve them. Both he and the manager whom we met and complained had no words of apology or explanation why the table was not marked reserved, and that we had to wait for so long for anybody to pay attention to us. These are the facts and we leave the conclusions...
