Joy food&coffee — Restaurant in Municipality of Eastern Samos

Positives : Lovely view with the new Al fresco seating area just by the water and very helpful and kind waitress . However NO compliments to the chef for the following reasons . Club Sandwich , we felt that they could have been more loaded and rich. Bread was also over toasted . Ordered a pizza margarita , returned it straight back . It was basically a large size TORTILLA bread topped with 5kg of melted cheese . It looked awful and unappealing. Waitress who explained to us that is how the kitchen sadly make their pizza, however immediately offered to waive it off the bill , thank you for that . Instead we ordered chicken nuggets … Chicken nuggets , should be called charcoal and burnt chicken nuggets . Absolute terrible and chef should have never allowed that to be served . Unlikely to go back to Joy , especially when you cannot even cook proper food like pizza...

One of the many restaurants at the main street. I ordered a greek salad. It had spinach, rocket, capers, black olives, tomatoes, white cheese (expected it to say Feta, odd..), red paprika, green paprika, red onion and iceberg salad. Some spices and olive oil. Tastewise it was what i expected. Tastes of authenticity. Price was good compared to other restaurants, but all of them - excluding just a couple - are in the same price range.

This restaurant was chosen just to see how it is. A lady said the toilet did not have the "rim" on it. Personally i did not use the toilet so i can't say much about it.

Staff was very polite & friendly and service was pretty quick.

The only let down was the fact that the olives had pieces of the rock hard "stones" in them. So i drop one star for that. Oh, and The bottle the water came in had a dirty "neck". They...

Avoid this place. The service is painfully slow, and the waitress we encountered was rude.

We waited an absurd 40 minutes for two omelets. When we asked about the delay, the young female waitress reacted with visible irritation, saying, “There are only two people in the kitchen.” There was no apology, no courtesy, just a frustrated, confrontational tone that made us feel like we were the problem.

When the food finally came, the first omelet was cold, and she slammed the plate on the table, clearly still irritated. The second omelet was brought by someone from the kitchen and was hot.

Samos deserves better. Experiences like this damage the island’s reputation. Local authorities should investigate and hold businesses like this accountable. Poor service and unprofessional behavior have no place in a destination that...
