Lovely garden atmosphere and beautiful (huge) green salad with sundried tomatoes that we split. Needed more dressing. We also got a cheese we had never heard of and it was aged and delicious, sort of like Tomme. House white wine was pretty good. We don’t mind being charged for bread and olives, however it would be nice to be asked first. Dip bread in the oil at the bottom of the olives! The nonverbal cues we were reading suggested annoyance at us ordering a small amount, but we could be wrong. It was a bit on the late side when we arrived (tho hours before close) with no one around and the owner couple sat down to eat and we were not asked if we wanted dessert. We did, actually, so we felt really awkward asking them to get up from their meal and get us dessert! Finally my husband asked and offered to take it to go because it seemed like they wanted us gone and so the woman brought it (if a bit begrudgingly). They seem like they don’t care if they have business because they were not very welcoming. Nobody should have to ask people who are eating dinner for a bill or dessert… super awkward. Maybe it’s normal in Greece,...

If you don't mind the owner dressed like he just came of his land, smoking on a free table while checking his Instagram on a very high volume, you're OK here. But for me that was a little disturbing. Cats are running around and sitting at your table waiting for the owner to feed them your left over fish. Before you are even finished. It works for two minutes but then they return to your table. Meanwhile the dog is fed on the terrace also in between serving. Maybe wash your hands in between all these actions....? Not much interest in the guests, more in his phone. So if you can handle all this, the food was great so at least the lady in the kitchen knows...
Read moreGreat place very graphical with maybe the best food in epidavros. Some people mention that the owner is a bit grumpy, but he actually seems like a good guy regardlessthe look. We need to understand that when these small restaurants are getting overcrowded because of the plays in epidavros theater, the employees and employers feel pressed and have to work long hours most of the time. It is impossible to find good employees for a day of two when the place is overcrowded due to the plays, so we also as customers need to show patience and understanding. The food is traditional with some modern touches and very tasteful ! We visited 2 times during our stay...
