I really liked the food at Spirandreas and the view by the port made our visit very pleasant. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Everything was reasonably priced, however there were a few more expensive options for people looking to spend a little extra for something a bit fancier (e.g. ceviche, lobster, etc). I do not mean that in a bad way, it's actually a good thing that there are options for all budgets. I had the grilled octopus which was excellent, but the portion could have been slightly bigger. The risottos were both great, but the ones with clams was too salty. While I didn't take any pictures, the pork fillet and fried calamari were both excellent. Would highly recommend and it will probably be my first stop if I'm ever back in the area.
Tip for the owner: Having the option between a normal or a bigger portion (2 tentacles normal, 3 tentacles big portion) would have been great. Also, we were a group of 6 people and we were seated at a medium sized table which wasn't very comfortable. I would have understood if the restaurant was packed, but there were dozens of empty tables and we could have combined a smaller table with ours to make seating a bit more comfortable. I'm not complaining that it was too bad or too uncomfortable, but it could...
Read moreDisappointing experience. At first the waiter was very attentive, however, once we ordered the food, we were completely forgotten about. Our drink order was forgotten. We ordered a whole lobster (250 euros worth of dinner for two) and lobster was served without seafood utensils. After we asked for some to be able to actually get the meat out of the crustacean - there were none. We ran out of drinks and no one came to help us although the restaurant was not full and there were 6 waiters just constantly chatting. Additional, no hand wash or towels were offered before or after serving lobster which was supposed to be eaten with hands. After sitting for another 45min with empty plates and glasses we finally managed to ask the bill as we were not offered any desert, digestive or coffee. Having spent 10+ summers in Greece it is first time to have such poor service. It is customary to offer fruit here on the house after consuming fish for main course or yoghurt after red meat course. Big prices - low quality service. The food was good, the lobster was somewhat...
