Elia traditional restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Festos

Nice place in a beautiful surrounding that resembles that of a village. The service was professional and spot and you could instantly tell that this restaurant has high standards.

Out of everything we tried the only negative comment is that the avocado was not ripe. Other than that we had an excellent lunch and greatly enjoyed our visit.

I definitely recommend this place after a stroll around...

Wir haben das Restaurant aufgrund der guten Bewertungen besucht. Die Lage in den Bergen ist wirklich schön und das Ambiente landestypisch und gepflegt. Leider war unser Erlebnis gemischt. Obwohl der Kellner oder Besitzer Deutsch sprach, wirkte er sehr lustlos und wir fühlten uns nicht wirklich willkommen. Das Essen war in Ordnung, jedoch nichts Besonderes. Die Vorspeisen waren teilweise leider etwas geschmacklos und die Hauptspeise (Hähnchenfilet) war etwas trocken und die Beilagen Kartoffeln sehr fettig. Die zweite Hauptspeise -griechische Nudeln - waren gut und schmeckten sehr lecker. Das Restaurant war sehr hochpreisig im Verhältnis zu dem, was man letztendlich bekommen hat. Ausschlaggebend für diese Bewertung war jedoch die eher triste Stimmung des Servicepersonals, wodurch wir uns nicht wirklich als Gäste willkommen geheißen fühlten. Vielleicht liegt es daran, dass sie nicht wirklich auf Gäste von Außerhalb angewiesen sind, da sie hauptsächlich von den Hotelgästen leben. Als Zwischenstopp auf einer Wanderung sicher okay - als Hauptziel für ein netten Restaurant Besuch, würde Ich woanders einkehren. Denn es gibt so manche gute und authentische Möglichkeiten...

We stopped off at this lovely restaurant after hiking the Rouvas Gorge. The place itself is stunning and the food was simply amazing. Locally sourced ingredients beautifully cooked!

You absolutely cannot visit this area without eating in this restaurant. The staff were also incredibly friendly...
