I took a group of high school students to Italy and Greece and we went to Zafiro Greek experience our last evening of our trip. My review is mostly positive - it was interesting and engaging and I'm glad we went.
The food was good and served buffet style, so kids could eat as much as they wanted. There was a variety of options to try and enjoy. There was also dessert later served buffet style too.
The dancing and show were really fun and my kids enjoyed getting to watch it, and especially breaking plates. They do a good job getting the kids involved.
The family who run the place were warm and kind, and inviting. The pride in their Greek culture was evident.
My 3 negatives - There were lots of kids drinking wine. Openly walking around with their wine glasses. Ultimately I guess it falls on their teachers to monitor this, but I think it falls to the venue too. My other negative is the unfortunate capitalist greed evident in how many people were squeezed into the venue. We were sat at round tables like you would have at any other wedding or catered event. These were tables meant to hold 10, but we were squeezed 14 to a table. It was tight. Then the tables were squeezed in tight next to each other. Makes it hard to get up and go to the buffet when you're wedged into the table and can barely bend our elbows to bring your fork to your mouth. When it was time to dance with the dancers there were so many kids participating that your could barely move or go in the circle. If your goal is spreading and showing off your culture, then you would want people to be able to see and observe, but we couldn't really see anything once the kids were out on the dance floor. I'm talking easily over 100 kids on a ti y dance floor. So instead of a cultural exhibition, it felt more like how can we make the most money possible by cramming 300+ Americans into this room at once? The entire evening is 3 hours long when it should be 2. At the 2 hour mark I looked around and all my students were outside playing. Very few people were still indoors watching.
So overall I think you should go and enjoy, but be more prepared than we were for the crowds and length of...

This location is a bit short on reviews! That is totally NOT a reflection on what is on offer.
Do yourself a solid favor and book an evening here. We are a traveling family, and this was the cultural highlight of our visit to Athens. We have a child who absolutely loved it even though he was the only child there the whole evening.
Their website gives you a good idea of what is on offer in therms of ‘things’. The actual thing to focus on is that this is an experience - a very educational and inclusive one - that almost makes you feel Greek.
Although it sounds silly - Its exciting to write this review and remember that evening. Seriously.
Even though it seems a bit out of the way if you are staying in the city, it is not difficult to get to. We used the metro then bus then walked the last road, but there are taxis!
Value for money? Without a doubt! Recommended? Yes - we’d go again in...
Read moreWe were with a tour company that choose this place and my wife and I didn't find it enjoyable. Like a few others in our group we took food outside to eat because of the noise and crowd.
Round tables that normally sit 10 in the states had 12. We were there in March and it was cold inside. Working in live events I understand why rooms are kept cool when entering. We you put 300 people in a space the tempature rises so you have to start off cooler. Still it was uncomfortable and we just sat there till all 300 people were seated.
Then instead of dismissing the groups that have been sitting there the longest we continued to wait to be allowed to hit the buffet melee. 300 mostly high school kids make a buffet almost a pushing and shoving match to get food when there is no line.
If you have social anxiety be warned this may not be a good time for you. It is crowded and loud. Of all the things we did in Greece over 9 days I can't...
