Title: "A Culinary Catastrophe at Mamy Blue Napoletana"
Last evening's visit to Mamy Blue was nothing short of a gastronomic nightmare. As an ardent pizza aficionado, my anticipation quickly turned into profound dismay. The centerpiece of any pizza, the crust, was egregiously mishandled – burnt to a crisp, it bore more resemblance to charcoal than to the golden, crispy foundation one would expect. Every bite was a crunch of despair, an affront to the art of pizza making.
The toppings, which one might hope would salvage the meal, were lackluster and uninspired. The cheese was bland, the sauce forgettable, and the overall flavor profile was as absent as the chef's attention to detail. It was as if the soul of the pizza had been lost in a culinary abyss.
While the service was passable – the wait staff was polite and relatively prompt – it did little to mitigate the culinary calamity that unfolded with each slice. A pizzeria's heart lies in its pizza, and unfortunately, this heart was charred and unrecognizable.
This experience has not just left me disappointed; it has left me emotionally scarred. To witness such potential fall so tragically short is a sorrowful saga. I ventured into with hope and left with a heavy heart and an unsatisfied appetite. This establishment has done a disservice to the noble and cherished tradition of pizza making. In good conscience, I cannot recommend this place to any fellow pizza lover. Beware, for your taste buds deserve far better than the culinary tragedy that is Mamy Blue.

Read moreWas recommended this newer pizza restaurant in Glyfada and decided to try it out .
Parking is very difficult to find , therefore be prepared to go few blocks away to find any available spaces .
Upon entering the restaurant we were promptly greeted by the staff . Very friendly ! The interior design of the place is initially dark but once you sit down and start to look around and especially up on the ceiling the design is very tasteful and works well . I really enjoyed it .
Open concept kitchen with pizza over as the cooks prepare the dishes .
I am a huge fan of Neapolitan style pizza and having traveled throughout Italy my personal standards are quite high .
We ordered a half litter of red wine which was very good . From the menu we chose the Sophia Lauren pizza , as I like to try the ingredients and taste the dough in this kind of style pizza . Pizza arrived very quickly which was nice .
Flavors are good . Ingredients are equally very good and well prepared . However , I would highly recommend that the pizza either be removed faster from the oven or the temperature of the oven may need some adjustment downwards. The dough is slightly over cooked and little burnt which takes away from the airy flavorful Neapolitan style we love . I would also recommend the addition of drizzled olive oil upon removal of the pizza from the oven . With these two suggestions the pizza would be extra good and close to Italian standards .
Staff is friendly and courteous . I will be back next time I am in Glyfada to try...
Read moreI have no clue what that hype is about this restaurant. First red flag was the difficulty in closing a table. Guy on phone could not even go to a quiet spot to hear me. He had to repeatedly ask me my personal info. So we get there and as we are eating our appetisers an employee was actually sweeping around the tables while we were eating! . As if that weren’t enough the broom he was using was filthy dirty! Ughhhhhh. The Caesar salad was banal. It was basically chopped up iceberg with a lil bit of nothing. I would never have high expectations for a true Caesar salad sauce but I did expect some kind of vinaigrette sauce or something! My partner described it as ‘αχηρο ‘ So we asked for a Carpaccio but waiter said they were out of it due to busy day and cannot ‘cut more at the moment ’ I thought why not take the useless sweeper guy and put him in the back to cut some. They had about 12+ employees and they all looked lost. Then after waiting for eeeever to get the Funghi Cotti pizza I expected that it would at least be a good slice of pizza. Actually It was a nice thin sliced pizza with great crust BUT the crust was drenched by the watery red sauce. So they couldn’t even manage to keep the thin crust from being a soggy lame pizza. Apart from that…..the actual mushrooms and toppings were tasteless. Bad choice of restaurant to...
