Lovely tavern, some of the very few remaining, reminiscent of an Athens that is now almost forgotten.

The decoration internally is majestic and speaks to the heart of Athenian folk.

The lamb chops are some of the best you can get in downtown Athens. The tavern also employees a yard next to the park which makes it a cool choice during warmer days.

Recommended, ideal for bringing a friend from abroad, and the service makes it a 5/5 while otherwise it would be a 4/5.

I live very nearby and have been to all the places in the area and neighbouring areas plus City Centre. Fair to say I might never have spotted this place otherwise, hidden in houses and not even lit up that well. However as a traditional, indeed old since 1954, taverna there is no better.
