To Kyma — Restaurant in Municipality of Kalymnos

We stayed 1 week in Kalymnos and we had lunch every day in To Kyma from the first day. Eleni is such a special person that cautivates you with her smile and friendliness. She welcomed us (especially our baby 😃) so warmly that we decided to spend all days in front of her taverna, on her free of charge sunbeds and umbrellas, wih the loveliest view and an ocasional orange juice, beer or coffee. The food was awesome. In the pictures you can see, besides de view, eggplant salad, calamari stuffed with feta cheese and grilled seabass. I also tried the goat and the lamb. Everything was excellent. Our daughter had a high-chair all the time and Eleni, and Savina and Marina, who were also the kindest persons in the world, would make her and us feel like home. The atmosphere is relaxed and easygoing, 2 meters from the sea where you can swim or sunbathe. Eleni, Savina and Marina, we love you and we can thank you enough for making our holidays...

Absolutely fabulous! Eleni and Kostas are just the most wonderful pairing at this beachside taverna. To be served by Eleni is an absolute joy, she is so cheerful, delightful and helpful she makes your day before you’ve even eaten! And the cooking by Kostas is exquisite. It’s all fresh, flavoursome, local and follows the best traditions of lovely Kalymnos. Our Greek friends who recommended To Kyma told us they are always reluctant to recommend restaurants in case someone has a bad experience, but To Kyma is the exception as everyone loves it. Well all we can say is that we certainly did, so much so we made sure our last meal on the island, (until next time), was at To Kyma. PS Not only do they have tables on the beach only a few meters from the water, but as a customer, you can use their sunlongers and parasols free of charge...

When you enter "To Kyma", Eleni will greet you with a big smile and make you feel welcome and like you are part of her family in 30 seconds. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧

Her husband hides in the kitchen and will make your taste buds explode with joy, when you eat his food. 🥗

Her Mother is baking bread. 🥖 Wich is served fresh, varm and crunchy directly from an owen somewhere in heaven.

Her children will remind you, that life is worth living, when they joyfully play in the water. 🏄‍♀️

And if you ask her to call a taxi - it will most likely be her husbands aunt that picks you up 😊
