If you're visiting Kira Panagia in Karpathos, a stop at Kavos Beach Bar Restaurant is an absolute must. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with the warm hospitality of Vasilis, the owner, whose friendly and welcoming nature sets the tone for a truly memorable experience. The food is simply outstanding fresh and flavorful. Whether you're enjoying a traditional Greek dish or a refreshing cocktail by the sea. The view from the restaurant is nice, offering a perfect backdrop of the crystal-clear waters and sands of Kira Panagia.

But what truly makes Kavos special is their entire team. Every staff member goes to make you feel at home. Their kindness, attentiveness, and genuine smiles create a warm and relaxed atmosphere that keeps you coming back.

It could be a really good restaurant, but there are some things that irritated us. On our first visit, we got an ouzo and watermelon as a gift, on our second visit - it was our anniversary, and the waiter knew it - we only got watermelon. I wouldn‘t have gone there anymore, but my kids wanted the Carbonara noodles (not very special, but expensive). The waiter recommended homemade ravioli, they were really delicious, but the portion was a joke - 5 small pieces, with a little bit of cream sauce for 18€ - a small appetizer, not more - and surprise whether watermelon or an ouzo - and the table next to us got both (it was their first visit) So ask for the price of recommended food. Food was decent, portions big, but I definitely didn't appreciate the staff's "forgetfulness" regarding our 20%-off-coupon we got from the hotel. At their first attempt the price wasn't even reduced in the bill and when we brought attention to it they corrected the bill to around 10% off, at which point we decided to just ignore the wrong deduction, because we just wanted to get away. And honourable mention: the bill will include a 1,50€/person couvert. So I'd say no need to tip here. They already did it themselves.
