So I've been going to Blue Mare for many, many years. So many, I don't even remember, and I really love this place, but yesterday I unfortunately had my worst experience there. I ordered eggs Sunnyside up, and they never came as Sunnyside up but overcooked and drenched in oil almost uneatable. But I was so hungry that I just ate them and then left. My wife, on the other hand, received an amazing sweet crepe with chocolate cookies and bananas that she loved. That's why I give my food one star, and I give hers 5 stars by averaging it out at 3 stars. Hopefully, my next visit will allow me to return this place to the 5 star rating that it used to have from me. So he took my freshly squeezed orange juice and he gave it to another table when I complained. He told me that there is an order to things and they came before me. So then I took him to that table and I made the guy who received the orange juice tell him that I was there before him I had already ordered. I was actually eating when he arrived, and my orange juice was taken by him. I ended up canceling my orange juice. But the mistakes started much earlier when he brought my yogurt with honey in the beginning. Instead of the end, he brought my coffee last, which he should have brought first. He never brought my salad. So I canceled that, and I ended up leaving hungry just to go somewhere else to eat. The owner apologized multiple times when he had realized the series of mistakes that he had made. But at that point, I was hot, hungry, and frustrated, so I just paid left and went about my day. One thing I can definitely say is that they have the best freddo cappuccino and the best raki. The sad part was that the shop was half empty so there really was not that much of an excuse for him to be that busy which he really was not at that moment of day that I went from my breakfast. I truly hope he finds a way to better himself because he'll increase the enemy of something good, is something better, He has something good, but he can always...
Read moreWe ordered 2 toasts, a tea and 2 beers. The waiters almost ignored us, they looked annoyed by our presence (the answer is: why?) We waited maybe a hour for the second beer and toast, that never arrived. All the (greek) people around us were served, except us. At the end my partner went to ask the waiters, but they laughted and told they had forgotten us. I feel so sorry, this island is so amazing, and usually the people...
Read moreWe only had coffee there on our last day, while waiting for our ship. Great coffee, but the bar is "split" by the road, so there are cars going by often. Perhaps you should avoid sitting here when there is a ship arriving.
On the other hand, perhaps it's the best place to sit right when you arrive or right before you leave, specifically...
