A descent trattoria but nothing more. The pasta we tried was mediocre (truffle and mushroom fettuccine were near tasteless), salad was a mix of materials that were not mentioned on the catalog and were not supposed to be mixed together (green olive oils with lettuce and buffalo mozzarella and prosciutto and onions?), the focaccia arrived cold and in terms of service the main course arrived literally 8 minutes after the salad and starter so there was no space on the table and they refused to keep them at the kitchen for 5 more minutes so as to finish the starter… At the end they served free dessert at most tables (friends or frequent customers?) but not on us - very impolite. We ordered a tiramisu based on amazing reviews read here but it was once more just ok - we have had far better in other similar restaurants. And yes we have been in Napoli twice and had the opportunity to dine at various amazing trattorias there, unfortunately this one is not a match. At least the prices were also at a...
Read moreA true Italian gem in Athens! Trattoria Napoletana feels like stepping straight into Napoli. The décor is warm, authentic, and exactly what you would expect from a traditional Italian trattoria. Chef Vincenzo, originally from Naples, brings the flavors of Italy to life with every dish. The pizzas are exceptional – light, flavorful, and baked to perfection – while the pasta and other Italian specialties are prepared with genuine recipes and traditional techniques.
The service is equally outstanding, with Marino and Kostas making every visit feel welcoming and personal. And don’t miss the desserts – the Tiramisu is without doubt one of the best we’ve ever tasted.
We come here often and every time the experience is consistently excellent. If you are looking for authentic Italian cuisine and atmosphere in Athens, Trattoria Napoletana is the...
Read moreA very good Italian restaurant with very tasty food, nice setting at their sidewalk yard, very good service and reasonable prices for the region (given their big portions compared to the competition). We tried a pizza (speciale), two different pasta dishes and a burger. They all tasted awesome, made with quality ingredients and cooked properly. The pizza dough was Italian thin style, not paper thin but thin in general, although it was rather tasty despite its thinness. We also tried their desserts, the tiramisu and the profiterole. We enjoyed everything we ordered. We'll visit...
