Today is our last evening on this beautiful island, and we just wanted to share how much we enjoyed our stay at this lovely taverna in Crete. We spent 5 wonderful nights here as a family (two parents and two young children), and it has truly been a memorable experience.
The accommodation was comfortable and cozy, and we returned several times for dinner because the food was simply amazing — the fried calamari, in particular, became a family favorite!
What made our stay even more special was the warm hospitality we received from everyone. Every interaction was kind and genuine, and we always felt welcomed and cared for.
We would also like to offer our sincere apologies to the elderly gentleman host on our floor for the scare caused by the door slamming due to the wind — it was an accident our little daughter couldn’t have predicted, and we’re truly sorry for the disturbance.

Read moreOur room was passable but no kettle or jug to boil water, we were told they only have 3 & were needed by other people ( obviously more important than an 80 year old & her friend ), so I asked for some hot water - had to phone down twice, then some luke warm water was brought up, impossible to make tea! But the dinner that night was superb, we both had fish dishes, spoilt however by instant coffee undisolved in lukewarm water.||Next morning I took myself to the kitchen to make hot tea, was Amazed they had no kettle, only a tiny little camping gas stove! I wanted to make my friends coffee but was told it came with breakfast - once again coffee powder floating about in tepid water, undrinkable.||I feel this hotel needs some helpful advice, also the fact there were no shampoos soap or shower gel in the bathroom. its little things like this that are important to a good reputation, ie kettle in room, small toiletries, hot tea & coffee in restaurant.
