Just finished a splendid evening repast with friends. As ever with Crete, hospitality and quality was excellent. Concensus among us was that the Cretan salad was the best by far on our epicurean tour. The mixed grill was a winner also. We had decided to eat here after spending the day on the beach directly in front of the restaurant. We had access to a beach populated by a handful of other visitors. Plenty of fixed parasols and loungers on offer. No charge, just the purchase of a few drinks to validate use of the facilities. Some of the best food I've ever had. Been here twice now and everything is perfectly cooked and prepared every time. Place is amazing. Everything is local and fresh and you can really taste it in the food. I would recommend this place to anyone.

If you're from North America, expect much slower service, but that's par for the course in most of Europe and the food makes any wait absolutely worth it. Lamb, mixed grill, fish all divine. Unless you are a local, I wouldn't recommend it. The owners could tell we weren't from around there and served a horrible lamb portion, mostly bone and fat. The white cheese (myzithra) I got in the salad had a stale taste, definitely not fresh, borderline gone. The olives were not good, most likely not among the better quality ones.
