Chara's tavern & coffee — Restaurant in Municipality of Kissamos

Truly amazing experience at Chara’s Tavern Just had an incredible meal at Chara's Tavern and Coffee in Kissamos — one of the best food experiences we've had in Crete!

We were recommended this place by our lovely host from Revekka Rooms Kissamos, and we’re so glad we followed the tip.

We ordered the lamb and the daily special: meatballs in tomato sauce — both were absolutely delicious, full of flavor and made with love. The service was impeccable: friendly, fast, and extremely welcoming.

To our surprise, we were treated to several things on the house: – A plate with authentic local appetizers, – Fried bread, olives, tomatoes and fresh water, – And as a cherry on top: a piece of baklava and a shot of a very interesting limoncello.

You can really feel the warm Cretan hospitality here. Highly recommended if you want genuine food, cozy atmosphere, and a big smile on your face when you leave. Thank you to the whole team for this...

Returning from the beach of Viena towards Kissamos, after a long and strenuous trekking that took our soul away, me and my girlfriend came across Chara’s Tavern, we ordered two appetizers and a typical second of meat, with great appetite, it was all really delicious and fresh, has restored our strength! Special mention for Argiris that offered us a great blueberry raki and a delicious sweet as well as kindness. We went to this place for a late breakfast. We ordered the Greek salad portion and Classic omlete. We got bread snacks and water as a complement. After that, we got another round of appetizers which included tomatoes with olive oil, olives, and bread snacks. After that our order was ready. The salad portion was huge!
