Livadia Traditional Tavern — Restaurant in Municipality of Kissamos

We were on the way back from Elafonissi and saw a sign for a tavern with the view from the hill, but when we saw this place on the way there, we decided to stop at least for a drink. The place is a beach shack, ran by a lovely family. It was right on the beach, there was a natural pool right ther and beach loungers we were offered to use for free. The beach was a refreshing option, there was a shower and changing room too. After 3 rounds of drinks at the bar overlooking the beautiful beach and sea, we asked if there was a food. They were quite modest about the offerings but they had fresh fish, octopus, souvlaki. The food was delicious. The family so friendly and lovely. We were so happy we made this stop. This should be a must stop on your way or on the way back from Elafonissi beach. It is a little paradise away from the crowds you will see on...

2x grilled fish with french fries and tomato. Also 2 bottles of Mythos. It was 55 eur. Too much. They dont say prices before serve meals. Aware. Be carefull if you dont want to pay more then in good tavern. Photo of what you get for 55 eur. Taste is nice, but you can pay less in good taverns. In Gorgona tavern we pay 33 with food and snacks, in Matala 36 for 2 main dishes, snacks and wine. Yes its 300 km away from this place, but dishes are also good and delicious. A gem of a place! The beach is nice, with easy access to the sea, and a sea pool for safe swimming if needed. The taverna is wonderful. Serving a small menu, but with a fresh catch of the day, really well cooked and served by the owner and her two lovely daughters. They are friendly and service, despite being just the two of them (and their very young daughters), was very good; nothing too difficult. The views are incredible and a sunset every night if the weather is kind....
