I’m giving 5 stars because I liked our waitress, she was friendly and polite. I was amazed how she made me feel comfortable even though I, unfortunately, don’t speak Greek. She even showed me what fish they had available after she saw that I was having difficulties with the menu as there were no photos (not that I expected any photos). The menu had English translation, but I was googling fish photos 🥲 The food was okay, it just lacked flavour. But it was fresh!!! I ordered anchovies, sardines, and squid. Nothing was salted or had any spices or marinade, the anchovies and squid were deep fried, couldn’t tell if sardines were baked or pan fried. Now, I took 1 star off because the crab dip was just mayonnaise with maybe 1 chopped, imitation crab stick and a sprinkle of corn kernels. The fries were good, but zero salt. Maybe I misunderstood and had to ask for it to be salted during cooking. Fish also wasn’t fishy, which means it’s fresh. Also there was no toilet paper, but I’m sure they’d give me some if I had asked. Overall, I enjoyed food. I gave 3 stars for the atmosphere because people kept coming from the beach and staring at my table, not sure what...
Read moreIn terms of food, this tavern is average. Majority of fish food is deep fried and frozen. The greek salad was a very big portion, and the zucchini balls were excellent but only 4 small pieces cost 4.5€. We also ordered tomato balls but they served them 5 min before we asked for the bill therefore asked them to take them back to the kitchen.
Now with regard to service, it is actually shocking how incompetent people are. There was no dedicated waiter/waitress to specific tables and people from the tables next to us were also complaining how they haven’t ordered yet and where is the food etc. They were so disorganised! More than 6 people who were both in the kitchen and serving. They tried to charge us the tomato balls we did not eat due...
Read moreAlthough very well located and it has the potential to become a fantastic mid-upper "cantine-restaurant," its owners/administrators/f&b managers don't want it or worse... don't care.. The staff is very friendly, though. Shrimp saganaki was very spicy, and with whole unpeeled shrimps, steamed mussels were not fresh and saltless. Octopus from the grill was one tenticle about 80 grams, over-boiled, and completely tasteless ! The salad was a leftover of anything that was green and fish that was dried out. On the other hand, the French fries were great, and the chorta (wild weed) was very tasty! Prices are not worth mentioning for...
