A True Greek Gem – Fresh Fish and Family Warmth
If you’re looking for an authentic Greek dining experience that feels more like visiting a friend’s home than just eating out, this family-owned Greek restaurant is a must-visit. Known for its incredibly fresh fish, this place delivers not only on flavor but also on hospitality.
We ordered the grilled octopus and Greek sea salt fish, and both were absolutely divine. The fish was so fresh, you could taste the sea in every bite – perfectly grilled, tender, and full of natural flavor. The octopus was a highlight as well – smoky, tender, and seasoned just right. You can tell the family puts real love into their cooking.
To our surprise and delight, we were served a complimentary dessert at the end – homemade and full of heart. It was the perfect sweet finish to an already perfect meal.
What really made the evening special was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. We truly felt like guests in a Greek home, not just customers in a restaurant. The family speaks good English, so communication was smooth, and they were more than happy to share stories and recommendations.
If you want to enjoy fresh seafood and genuine Greek hospitality, this little gem is the place to go. Highly...
Read moreThe food was delicious, and the family that owns the restaurant were the most welcoming and warm people that we have met here in Greece. If you are staying near the airport and want a wonderful home cooked meal, get the Beat app (Athens Greece version of Uber) and take a short car ride here. The entire menu is in Greek, but don't worry the owner and his daughter spoke very good English. Good news since we only know 3 works in Greek. Everything from the fresh bread, small anchovie appetizer, house white wine, mussels, calamari and grilled sardines were excellent. The picture below shows only one mussel left when the freshly grilled anchovies arrived at the table. We even had 2 servings of almira, which is a local Greek vegetable served with lemon and vinegar on the side. Simply the best! Lastly, the halva dessert (freshly made every day by the owner) and the yogurt (Greek of course!)with honey made the entire dinner unforgettable. We will miss Greece but will always remember the Hot...
Read moreWe wanted to find a local Greek restaurant near the airport, and this restaurant happened to be our preferred choice. We drove to small streets in the residential area, and arrived at this restaurant. The sign was in Greek language (not so visible), so I had to double check the place with photos from the Google reviews.
This appears to be a family-run restaurant. Mother, father and daughters are all working in the kitchen. All their customers were locals and seem to know the family. It was really nice.
The daughter, who served us, spoke good English, and her old father even came to greet us and asked if everything was ok. The food was great and reasonably priced. It felt more like the homemade food, and we loved it.
They offered us the homemade dessert, Greek Halva cake, which was very kind. We even managed to chit chat with customers who approached us from the next table. This is not a luxurious restaurant, but the whole dining experience was very warm and...
