A lovely ambience, well designed, attention to detail. Fresh ingredients, great service. However the restaurant owner asked for feedback and I expressed that there should should be some smaller sizes dishes, as the portions are huge (the option should be there for people like me who eat less) and I found her response arrogant. She told me that her dishes are always returned empty, so why should she give people like me the option of a smaller sized dish? If she is doing everything perfectly why ask me for my opinion? Also the tea should be served in a teapot so you can refill. I had to ask for more hot water.
Prior to the owner's visit, I spoke SEPARATELY to a waitress and expressed, extremely politely (it is simply an outright lie to say I was rude) my opinion with regards to the culinary world, making it very clear that my opinion was about the GENERAL CULINARY WORLD. I discussed how the 'American' trend of enormous portions, of course has its roots in a deeply patriarchal culinary history, which this restaurant and other restaurants in Greece are emulating - resulting in high waste which is bad for the planet. Women have the option to stop and question the world they have inherted, now that we are more empowered and do things differently rather than simply continue a male-designed template. This restaurant may be female run, but the refusal to incude smaller portions (saying you can order a yogurt instead of an egg dish is completely misisng the point!) is conforming to a male-designed system orientated around appeasing the larger (generally speaking) male appetite without in any way adapting to those (generally female but of course many males included) who may want a...
Read moreThe place was beautiful but too small so it’s not the most comfortable place for me personally. Some of the meals from the menu weren’t available (how can you not have pancakes?). Also the plate I ordered took ages to be prepared and the servers seemed lost and at rush. The coffee wasn’t what I remembered coffee in Greece tasting like. It was the first place I visited in Larisa after 2 years being aboard and i just feel disappointed because other reviews seemed like they enjoyed it. At last the food was decent so 3...
Read moreWent to this place on a recommendation of a colleague to have an English breakfast and a smoothie. Waited an hour and all I received was water. Saw other people come in after me, and receive their food before me. Spoke with the waiter calmly and all he could tell me was it’s OK it’s OK. Would give less of a rating if I could, having lived in England for several years the food looked promising, but I...
