At the edge of Marathon — Restaurant in Municipality of Marathonas

For starters, I think (most of) the other reviews are fake. We went there and the place is very basic, indoor it is actually a smokers’ den. Outside also very basic with cheap plastic furniture. We were the only guests. On the positive though, the owners were very polite and put an effort into it. All the food was freshly prepared, even the potato for the French fries were freshly peeled and cut. The Greek salad was probably the best we had on our trip to Greece. So over all a very weird place definitely worth an adventure, but not a five star...

Very tasty food can be also very simple. The place is nothing fancy all, do not expect anything but great and authentic Greek cuisine !!! We had a cod with the Greek garlic deep and fried potatoes (yes! Real fried potatoes and not the frozen chips), tzatziki with pita and soujuk with fried potatoes. Looks very low-key and not so exciting from the outside, but food was great and service superb! We were in need of a rather late night dinner and found that this was one of the few places open till midnight. Although no one else was there we were warmly welcomed and served delicious and very well priced food....
