Το Αγκυροβόλι — Restaurant in Municipality of Markopoulo Mesogaias

We visited this restaurant through the day during a quiet Monday. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a gentleman whose English was good enough for us to communicate what we wanted from the menu. The restaurant was right next to the harbour providing us with a relaxing visit with nice views we typically don't get back at home. The menu mainly consisted of seafood which was way out of our price range (between 50-70 euros for sea bream) so we just decided to get some nibbles and drinks (chips, cheese balls and beer) which was reasonably priced. The waiter was polite and greeted us with fresh spring water (which seems to be a common practice with restaurants around Greece). The place was nice, the toilets were clean and pleasant and the staff were friendly. You will be hard pressed to find another seafood restaurant in the area, which offers more in terms of variety, quality and service. There are many options for seasonal salads and appetisers, the staff will assist you and advise you on the fresh seafood and fish of the day, and by the end, when you're almost full, they will offer pastries and fresh fruit treats "on the house" to make sure you're happy and visit them again and again. If I have to find one negative, it would be the toilets that aren't wheelchair appropriate, but they are very spacious and can be used if the need arises.

The restaurant has a new fusion cuisine menu, including sushi and poke bowls, all with freshly caught fish. Ask what the day's catch is, and the chef will prepare it to you...

We had an amazing evening at Το Αγκυροβόλι, it became our favourite restaurant in Porto Rafti! We had a relaxing dinner by the sea. Out of 5 different fish restaurants we tried in the region, this was the best one.
