This place was soo good that we had it twice. This is your local mom and pop establishment run by family. I could eat the grilled chicken and Greek salad everyday if I could! Great place to hang out with family and enjoy delicious food. The fries are complete perfection and don’t get me started on the tzatziki. Service was very good and if we are ever in the area again we will have to make a pit stop, in the meantime give this place a try and you won’t be disappointed.

The best place on the whole island. The most peaceful place, there you feel yourself like at home, sitting on your background, drinking coffee and smelling bbq. Here you can find every traditional cuisine, for the lowest price. The best raki, fresh fruits and vegetables. The best meat and fish. If you want to feel the soul of Greece, you obligated to visit this place and speak with this kind family. Guys, you are the best! Greetings from Ukraine!

Fabulous food! We had the traditional lamb tsigariasto with chips and dakos Cretan salad. Wow! Lovely flavours. We were also given some traditional desert complimentary ( a type of sweet yoghurt - delicious!) And home made raki on the house. How good is that! Our concierge was great value, very friendly and entertaining. Thoroughly recommended.

A place that you understand from the very first moment that it is a traditional original tavern. Friendly family feeling and homemade aromas from the kitchen! Every day they have special dishes (available based on what they actually produced) and they are really GOOD! Every time that we stop and have lunch there the last 3 years that we discover it it was and continue to be very good! The hosts know how to do their job and when you are more than 4 people and you don’t know exactly how many portions of each food you have to order, they took responsibility for that and they count that based on their experience. Small suggestion, If they are available take: “antikristo” meat meal, wild pork (agriogourouno) with wild local avronies grass, grilled ribs (païdakia) and anthogalo (it is just like butter but much more tasty and you can spread it on your bread). They really worth congratulations for...

This is one of the most authentic places. Owners speak little English therefore might look a bit unfriendly when explaining the dishes but be patient and do not leave. They specialize in meat and grow own animals. Try to make it for Sunday lunch and on Sundays they grill the whole lamb (antikristo lamb) and pork, lamb, chicken pieces on he spit. Mind blowing. For antipasti take fried zucchini and tzatziki as they are among the best. Also, as mentioned before, raki is the best I tried in the whole of Greece. Goes so well with they own grown water melon. Easy to spot as place is right on 90 highway between Bali and Skepasti . In autums they sell water melons and melons by...

Amazing taverna within walking distance from our Air BnB (lucky us!). The food was fresh and flavorful and the atmosphere was relaxed under the trees. We dined in one night and had take away on another. Truly the best meals we had on Crete! Spiros was a wonderful host - gave us recommendations of which beaches to visit and where to go in the mountains as well. He even helped me on my first night on the island, lost and without internet, so that I could connect to the internet and contact my AirBnB host - not sure I would have made it without him! Definitely stop in for a meal or two - you’ll be...
