Psaromezedes — Restaurant in Municipality of Moschato-Tavros

So I went there for lunch with 2 of my friends.

If I could give the place three and a half stars, I would. Is the best thing I ate was the shrimp Kritharoto that was incredibly delicious.

From the first moment that I sat, I noticed that every single dish was on the pricey side. I live in Southern Athens, the most expensive neighborhood that is called Vouliagmeni. The prices were equivalent and, in some cases, higher than what they are in my neighborhood. And i'm talking about sea front restaurants. Now about the positive aspects of this restaurant are that it is very centrally located very clean with knowledgeable personnel. Our waiter was exceptional. At least 1 of them was. The other waiter was lazy until I complained about him, and then he cleaned up his act. For example, our original waiter would come and serve everything exactly in the middle of the table. We had three tables 3 people. The other waiter would leave everything at the far corner where no one could reach until. I complained about him, and then he would put everything right in the center, and he would look at us to make sure if he did it correctly.

So everything was very lightly seasoned, which perhaps might be better for most people's palates. But that should not be the case because you're not going to a fancy restaurant to get servearth food that is not correctly seasoned. The calamari goes in my top 10 worst calamari and Greece. I'm sorry, but i'm being honest. I wish I could give it a higher rating. The worst part was they forgot our aubergine salad.

I am the highest reviewer of Google in Greece, and it makes me feel very bad. When I go to restaurants that have been built up before I go, just to be kind of disappointed. I was expecting so much more from this little place. Who knows, maybe it was my luck? Maybe they actually cook everything a lot better, and their chef was taken a day off, or I went to lunch or went home. I will give them the benefit of the doubt because i've heard so many good things about this place.

The best thing that I learned here was the Mavro Rodo tsipouro, which was absolutely...

1). Σαλάτα "ψαρομεζέδες": την έχουμε δοκιμάσει όλοι παντού. Η κλασική πράσινη σαλάτα με βινεγκρέτ, παρμεζάνα και καρύδια. Πολύ νόστιμη και δροσερή!

2). Χταποδοσαλάτα: ζεστή και το χταπόδι συνοδευόταν από βραστές πατάτες. Η ευχάριστη και ευφάνταστη έκπληξη στο συγκεκριμένο πιάτο ήταν τα μικρά κομμάτια από πικάντικο σαλάμι! Πραγματικά με ενθουσίασε και δεν το έχω ξαναδεί σε κανένα από τα θαλασσινά πιάτα που έχω δοκιμάσει.

3). Τυροκροκέτες με σάλτσα τομάτας: μόνο με μία τυροκροκέτα χορταίνεις και γεμίζει το στόμα σου με έναν λαχταριστό αφρό, μεστό από ποιότητα, ποσότητα και γεύση!

4). Καβουροσαλάτα: πολύ νόστιμη!

5). Ταραμοσαλάτα: πολύ ωραία υφή και απαλή γεύση!

6). Καραβιδόψιχα: πολύ νόστιμη και συνοδεύεται φυσικά με την κλασική σως που έχουμε όλοι αγαπήσει!

7). Λουκουμάς μπακαλιάρου: πολύ πρωτότυπα τυλιγμένος ο μπακαλιάρος στο κουρκούτι του και συνοδεύεται από κομμάτια παντζαριού και απαλή σκορδαλιά ανακατεμένη με μαγιονέζα!

8). Φιλέτο από ψητό λαβράκι με πουρέ σελινόριζας: τρομερό ψήσιμο στο λαβράκι και ήταν πεντανόστιμο από μόνο του! Φυσικά, ο πουρές σελινόριζας απογειώνει το πιάτο!

9). Κριθαρότο με γαρίδες: πάρα πολύ νόστιμο και όχι πνιγμένο το πιάτο σε περιττές σάλτσες, ενώ και οι γαρίδες πεντανόστιμες!

10). Επιδόρπιο: πορτοκαλόπιτα (Α φαμπ, όπως αναγράφεται στον κατάλογο) περιχυμένη με σιρόπι καραμέλας. Πάρα πολύ νόστιμο και ό,τι έπρεπε για να ξεπλύνει κανείς το στόμα του έπειτα από τις προηγηθείσες υπέροχες γεύσεις!

Πριν από το γλυκό μάς προσφέρθηκε λικέρ μαστίχας!

Συνολικά λοιπόν γευματίσαμε σ' ένα υπέροχο εστιατόριο με ευφάνταστα πιάτα και πεντανόστιμους θαλασσινούς μεζέδες! Εξαιρετικό περιβάλλον και όλοι οι σερβιτόροι ευγενέστατοι, εξυπηρετικότατοι και με χιούμορ!

Αναλογία τιμής - ποιότητας - ποσότητας συγκριτικά με τα υπόλοιπα εστιατόρια θαλασσινών που έχω επισκεφθεί κάτι παραπάνω από τίμια!

Εννοείται ότι θα γίνει στέκι!

Έπειτα από δεύτερη επίσκεψη πρέπει οπωσδήποτε ν' αναφερθώ στις γαρίδες σαγανάκι! Πεντανόστιμες γαρίδες με πολύ ωραία κόκκινη σάλτσα και συνοδεία από αφρώδες τυρί! Αυτή ήταν και η αποκάλυψη τού πιάτου, καθώς έχω φάει πάρα πολλές φορές το συγκεκριμένο πιάτο, αλλά αυτή η εκδοχή ήταν μοναδική και σε στήσιμο, αλλά...

The service was the best I’ve had anywhere in Greece, the staff are really top notch. All of the food was incredible: fish soup, taramasalata, marinated anchovies, shrimp, langoustine, lobster pasta, just to name a few of the many favorites. We had fried barbounia fish and it was served with the heads/bones already cleaned out for us, same for the lobster pasta and fish we had. The ability to enjoy all of the seafood without working to clean it is a solid touch! Nice wine selection. The desserts were also very good. Pretty easy to find street parking near the restaurant....
