Recommend 110%. My belly's in love with this place. A list of our favorite dishes: greek salad that we call "choriatiki", chicken salad to spread on toasted bread (thank me later), potato salad, also the parmesan salad that's a little sour, tzatziki, mushroom pie with melted cheese, stuffed onions that we call "sugania", mastelo cheese from Chios island topped with tomato jelly, FETA CHEESE WRAPPED UP, FRIED AND HONEY DRIZZLED ( it's too good...too good), also feta in the oven, chicken or bifteki "giaurtlu" which means that there's pita with yogurt beneath the meat and tomatoes, kodosuvli (hope you can read it) which is gyros basically with some pita, mustard and ketchup or tzatziki if you ask for it, lepidia with is meat without any bone or fat veins, and....there's also ice cream or chocolate crepes for dessert😃 It's in a peaceful hill up high, surrounded by lots of trees and plants. They've decorated it in a traditional fashion. Me like-y. It's not just about the food guys. The owners and the service are all delightful. They're kinda swamped 90% of the time so it wouldn't hurt to call and...
Read moreOverrated. The good reviews compelled us to give them a try. It was a disappointing experience. The place was full but there was a lack of staff to handle the demands and we waited much too long to order, for every request, and to close out our bill. The food was disappointing, and, to agree with another reviewer, mustard is much too prevalent as an addition to many dishes. Ask before placing an order if mustard is part of your dish. This practice seems to have spread the last several years in Greece, and I’m perplexed by the rise of mustard to such prevalence. I ordered the liver, and, yes, it came with mustard! The classic Greek preparation is to make it with olive oil, and top with lemon and oregano. Mustard? My mother is turning over in her grave. I requested olive oil, and the oil brought to the table was not EV, but a watery lesser quality with a near-clear color. Shame when one realizes that the island of Lesvos is renowned for it’s quality...
Read moreDined there on my birthday. Huge variety of dishes on the catalogue offered. Ordered plenty of appetizers, traditional Greek salad, roasted calamari, octopus and BarbaGianni ouzo. Fair prices, ultra delicious food and excellent service. Highly recommended!
Edit: I’m keeping the original review and this edit is the new review. After dining each year at this restaurant, our last dining experience was ruined by the owner’s attitude. All dishes were perfect, except the shrimp saganaki. The shrimps were not fresh as we previously experienced before, but when we informed the staff, we were called out by the owner. Even brought the tupperware with the shrimps right in front of our faces, in front of other people. Awkward and quite a nasty encounter. Not...
