Asinin Te — Restaurant in Municipality of Nafplio

A very unpleasant experience with rude staff. At the entrance they told us we can pick up any empty table and then when we picked one closest to the sea, they told us it is reserved. There were two options in the menu for mussels : boiled with onions and deep fried with cheese (more expensive). I asked for the second option. The waiter brought boiled mussels with some dark broth and onions with no traces of cheese. When I told him that I ordered deep fired mussels with cheese, he just said that this is what chef cooked. After some arguments he returned back with the same dish which now had crumbled feta cheese on top! He said that this this the dish I ordered and they do not have any other options of mussels. Absolutely unacceptable!! After some minutes another waiter came and he told me that the English translation in the menu does not correspond to the greek description of the dish! Yet since my husband had started his dish slightly earlier, we had to stay in the place. Also if you decline bread which they bring you without asking (and they put it in the bill), they do not give you the watermelon at the end. After all, the watermelon is not a courtesy of the taverna but you pay for it with the bread...

We had a very bad experience in this restaurant as the service staff was awful. This is a place where you only will get decent service if you speak Greek, as the waiter explained us that the menu is badly translated to English which prompted a mistake from their side (they brought us the wrong dish). Also, while they brought watermelon as a courtesy to everyone else at the end of the meal, they didn't bring it to us (probably because we complained about their mistake). Some of their tables are under trees which drop leaves/small branches on your table, so be sure not to sit at the edges of the restaurant. I asked for the veal and it was tasteless (not seasoned enough), though the meat was soft and that was ok. My wife got mushrooms risotto as a replacement for their mistake and some of the mushrooms were like chewing gum. So not good food in this place either (despite the price, which is on the higher end for Tolo and the surroundings). It's a pity as the restaurant has a really nice location in front...

Just had the most wonderful lunch at this gem of a restaurant in beautiful Tolo! We're visiting from London with our two children, and this place was recommended by our villa owner - what a fantastic suggestion!

The location is absolutely stunning with breathtaking views across the bay 🏖️ The covered seating was perfect when a little rain shower passed through, but honestly, the view was so gorgeous we didn't mind at all!

The food was exceptional - the prawns were absolutely incredible and hands down the best mussels we've ever had! 🦐 The house wine perfectly complemented our meal too 🍷

What really made our experience special was the waiting staff - they were super friendly and so accommodating to our family. You can tell they genuinely care about making sure everyone has a great time 😊

If you're in Tolo, this is an absolute must-visit! We'll definitely be back before we head home to London. Thank you for such a memorable...
