We had: -fish roe salad not bad, bit kind of tasteless -eggplant salad greek classic style, with garlic and lemon, vegetables in it chopped in big pieces. Tasty, good. -red dorada aka fagri (750 gr), with boiled vegetables (horta) the fish was tasty, sea capture, not from the tanks, quite expensive (55 euros/kg), but good (not the best in the world but silghtly above average). Horta was also good, classic.
The tables are near the sea, so near that the waves splash your feet. You cand feed the fishes with bread crumples or whatever and enjoy the show. The staff was friendly, kind, maybe the strongest point of the restaurant (at least for our experience).
Second visit: -grilled octopusok, tasty, tender -grouper fish called in greek Sfiridaexpensive fish (70 euros/kg), good, dry taste (not my taste, but this is subjective) -risotto with seafoodtotal failure. It was rice (well, probably risotto based), but with huge amount of delikat/knorr/maggi/whatever. It was like eating a solid instant soup, same artificial taste. We took the seafood out of it and left the rice (most of it) there. Just uneatable.
As for the previous visit, the staff was friendly, helpfull, smiling, so on. However, no real reaction when i mentioned about the Knor risotto, other than...
Read moreA Family-Run Treasure in Vivari Village
In the heart of Vivari Village lies a cozy, family-run fish restaurant. Set against the backdrop of a quiet harbor, the setting immediately put us at ease, but it was the warmth of the service and the exceptional seafood that truly made the evening unforgettable.
Our waiter, the son of the family, took great care in guiding us through the menu. Trusting his recommendation, we ordered the Fagria fish, which turned out to be an outstanding choice. Freshly grilled and seasoned just right, the fish was tender and flavorful, capturing the essence of the sea with every bite.
While we couldn't try the Alevrya greens salad as it had sold out to other lucky diners, we were offered another variety of boiled greens, simply dressed with olive oil and lime. These were a refreshing and light complement to our meal, perfectly balancing the richness of the seafood.
Every dish was clearly crafted with care, and the service felt personal and genuine. This is the kind of place where tradition meets freshness, and you leave not just satisfied, but looking forward to your next visit. If you're ever in Vivari Village or Nafplio this little gem by the harbor is...
Read moreIf possible I could give 4,5⭐, but 5 needs excellence. Food was great; fish, shrimps, salads and french fries truly great (only detail - Souvlaki was burned at the edges). Service was very good, staff was polite, and being next to the sea is wonderful. However for a restaurant that had upper level dishes, and superior cuisine, the details matter. It felt like the whole restaurant could do with a renovation to manage the clutter (I'm not saying there was anything wrong), but it felt like the restaurant could be a jewel of the Peloponnese if given the finesse to support it . I guess it's a compliment with a twist. Having said all that, we enjoyed the meal and the service was truly wonderful. Bravo to a Great chef and good management.
Comment to owners [ The umbrellas dumped next to tables should be removed (thankfully we didn't trip over them - sheer luck) the plant above my head was left to shed dried petals on food during meal (a shake & a broom would suffice)]
I will delete this last part once confirmed that it's been read.
Thank you we enjoyed the meal...
