I had the pleasure of dining at Faros tou Alykhou on the beautiful island of Naxos, and it was an absolute delight! Our lunch experience was nothing short of exceptional.
To kick off our meal, we indulged in an exquisite cheese plate that was a true masterpiece. The combination of cheeses was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, a feast for both the taste buds and the eyes.
For our main courses, we opted for the classic Greek flavors - the pork souvlaki and the Greek salad. The pork souvlaki was tender, flavorful, and perfectly grilled, showcasing the culinary prowess of the chef. The accompanying Greek salad was a vibrant medley of fresh ingredients, bursting with the authentic taste of Greece.
What truly set this dining experience apart was the enchanting ocean breeze that accompanied our meal. The restaurant's picturesque location by the sea added an extra layer of magic to our lunch, making it a memorable culinary journey.
From start to finish, our lunch at Faros tou Alykhou was a celebration of fresh ingredients, Greek flavors, and the natural beauty of Naxos. If you're looking for a place where great food meets a stunning atmosphere, this is the place to be. I can't recommend it enough, and I'm already dreaming of...

You come there for the FANTASTIC dishies. Surely one or the best restaurant of the island. We took Octopus salad: a minimal presentation but the taste .... woaw. All condiments was perfectly balanced to make a spicy but not to strong salad Feta chese boiled: wouaw!! Excellent presentation in a cute small pot. Feta cream is sooo smooth mama meat balls: well done and a excellent tomato sauce seafood salad: just excellent. Perfect seasoning. You feel the olive oil, sea foods and all mixed with an excellent tomato sauce a glass of wine : they don’t suggest you expensive one but those which fits your dish
We paid 59€ (very cheap for the quantity) and they offered us desert (honey ice cream with caramel)
The service is so professional. The staff speaks an excellent and proper English. And it is...

Had dinner at Faros our first night in Naxos. It's a shame that in an island with so much produce and famous for its quality of food there are places that are not great at anything.
We had the a set of starters that Naxos is supposed to be famous for. None of them are things that we are going to remember the next day. I mean I m even struggling to remember what we had as I m writing this review. We had the mushrooms and a local salad. Both were mediocre at best. For mains we had sardines and a local meat dish served in a clay plate. Both were plates you can have at any other restaurant in Naxos or any other Greek restaurant as far as taste is concerned.
The ambience and overall decoration is nothing to write home about. Just a local tavern. Important to note that there is no step free access (wheel chairs and strollers will get stuck on the pebble that surrounds...
