The service is not only bad, it is downright offensive. Generally waiters were aloof, allegedly very busy, and we were generally ignored.
When we asked for sea urchin salad, the waiter told us “oh, we ran out during lunchtime already”. Not long after, a group showed up on the tender from their yacht. The aloof waiters were bending over backwards to make sure they were well taken care of… it was odd and awkward until the waiter asked them if they wanted some sea urchin salad, in fact he recommended two portions. That’s when it got downright offensive.
We were astounded, and challenged the waiter about it. He quickly dismissed the situation claiming that “oh we just got a delivery [this was already past 9pm], and you were already done eating”…
I think I’ve said enough…
So, unless you are on holiday on a yacht, best to avoid them… they do not serve “peasants”
BTW: This is the summer version of “Mikres Cyclades” in Athens. Chances are they will behave similarly there, so I would encourage you...
Read moreWe had a fantastic dining experience at this charming restaurant located in the picturesque port of Sxinousa. The quality of the food was simply amazing. The highlight of our meal was the lobster pasta, which is hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. If you ever find yourself here, you absolutely have to try it!The ambiance of the place is lovely, perfectly complementing the stunning views of the port. The service was top-notch – fast, friendly, and attentive, making our meal even more enjoyable. Every detail seemed thoughtfully executed, from the fresh ingredients to the beautifully presented dishes. The only downside was that the prices were a bit on the high side, which is why I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5. Nonetheless, the overall experience was wonderful, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Sxinousa. Great food, excellent service, and a beautiful location make it well...
Read moreOverpriced and the food was mediocre at best, we were also told we couldn’t really order different things because they would arrive at the table at different times as the kitchen was “busy” even though there were like 5 other guests in the restaurant . If you want some good food that isn’t overpriced fish (the cheapest one was €80 per kg), walk the 5 mins up to town where you can find food for a reasonable price and restaurants that have a variety of food. I’m glad the fish are dead because if they knew what that restaurant was doing to them for that price...
