Taverna Glyfada — Restaurant in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

A really local place with the most delicious food at very reasonable prices. We hadn't booked a table for lunch and we seemed to be the only tourists but luckily after a short wait a large table was arranged to seat our group of 14. Menus were delivered quickly and beers were served icy cold - most welcome in the heat of summer. As for the food, we shared a few dishes - huge and delicious Greek salads, zucchini fries, a zucchini pie, tatziki and a huge serving of piping hot and beautifully seasoned fries.

We have spent eight amazing days in this beautiful place during September. The property is in opposite to the beautiful and never crowded sandy beach and turquoise sea. The apartments are cozy and useful furnished. Daily cleaning is provided, which is not common with this type of accommodation. In the ground floor of property is a perfect, traditional Greek tavern. Tavern offers very tasty meals made from local traditional ingredients. Sunset watching from the tavern's terrace during the dinner is a wonderful experience. This family run taverna is amazing: great food, great hospitality and an amazing view of the beach and the sunset. Prokopios and his crew, in the kitchen prepare delicious food that comes mainly from the family's farm and orchard: feta, xinomizitra, oil, vegetables, meat and wine. Marousa, the wife of Prokopios and the facade and attentive manager of Glyfada tavern with her team of waiters are always smiling and efficient.
