Mpompina — Restaurant in Municipality of Nea Ionia

It's a small place in Nea Ionia, on a perpendicular street of Heraklion Avenue. It consists of an indoor area and an outdoor area to the side. The indoor area is very nicely decorated with a large bar and vintage furniture. The menu is small, with 5-6 choices from each category, but we liked everything we tried. The best of all were the pastas we tried: spaghetti with pesto, pappardelle with ragou and gnocchi with chorizo. We liked the veal tagliata but found it a bit dry, while the pork ""bouzopoula"" tasted very sweet. From sweets we tried lemon flan and apple pie which were excellent, but also profiterole which was quite different because it had ice cream inside. Very polite and friendly...

This is a little slice of heaven. A beautifully decorated place, on a quiet corner, it looks majestic at night with the lights and nice plants. You can see the creativity everywhere, from the ambience to your plate.

The food was exquisite and very tasty, and the chef really gave a unique touch to some dishes, like salads. Tried and loved: Homemade Carbonara, the strawberry salad, Tartar.

Specialty coffee and freddos are great, you can feel the superior taste right away. I definitely recommend and can't...

One of my absolute favorite places! The food is just amazing—delicious, creative, and full of flavor. The paccheri is out of this world, the chicken is super juicy and packed with taste, and the little pies are seriously addictive. The drinks are top-notch—perfectly balanced and really well made.
