the food is alright. service was slow.
however it pisses me off how these people cant even write in italian; to write "pasta all'gamperi" you seriously need to hate the language. im not one of those people who think italian food should be made in a singular, immutable way, im not even surprised about the lack of an actual carbonara cream (pecorino + parmigiano) in the carbonara dishes, i got over that. what i dont understand is how there are people who casually go "yeah im gonna open an italian restaurant" and do not even bother writing the dish names right. google translate is free and it will not add an apostrophe before a word that starts with a consonant, people! and it will not misspell "parmigiano" as "parmezana"!
now naturally this review might appear a little too rude because logically, the chefs are not the ones who get to write the menu- there being an absolutely insane, and, dare i say, insulting amount of grammar mistakes, does not mean that the food is bad...
so please if you want anybody who has at least an A1 knowledge of the language to take you seriously, do some actual research and for the love of god fix those mistakes.
a few examples:
"pizza pepperoni chorizo picante" should be - "peperoni" (important note; peperoni [1 p] in italian means peppers, in english it [pepperoni with 2 p's] refers to a type of salami.) and also, "picante" normally has 2 c's, which makes it "piccante". "pizza specialle" should be "pizza speciale". literally almost every dish with all' in its name should be reworded because all' is an article used only for words that start with vowels. articles change based on many factors, and they are quite tricky to get right, so i understand not using the right ones if you dont know the language, but it is extremely clear that you just copy pasted "all'" in front of whatever random dish name you wanted, completely ignoring such a basic rule of italian grammar. "spanachi" should be "spinaci". in italian "ch" is pronounced K. an italian would read "spanachi" as spanaki, which is the same as the greek pronunciation. σπανάκι! "quatro formazzi al Bolognese" should be"quattro formaggi alla bolognese". ... and so on. way too many mistakes for me to fix. seriously, if you care enough about this (which you likely dont- i understand if that is the case) google translate is your friend. that is, assuming that you do not want to pay somebody to give you an accurate translation. not that you need to, as a native italian speaker i can assure that.
the menu is seriously so awfully written that its not even funny, and probably says a lot about the dedication you have for your restaurant. i cannot even imagine how one could possibly write "formazzi" instead of formaggi... it almost seems intentional... if you cannot bother double checking something as simple as the dish names, then who knows what else you do not care enough about? the food quality, maybe? the authenticity of the ingredients? do things...
Read more😃The customer service was really good! They informed us at the very begin about the delay on pizzas, so we chosen pasta instead. The food taste was really good, the portion size and the prices more than decent! That is why this place is always busy. It is def value for money and the overall experience deserve 5 stars.
💡I would advice you to book a table in advance otherwise there is not many chances to eat there. Also they open at 4pm so keep that in mind when you call them to book your reservation.
🚩The only thing that I would say they need to take a better look is that they cannot use olives that are not pitted in a salad that the olives are hidden under the arugula. It could be dangerous when people bite something that is not eatable and they do not expect since is hidden under the leafs. The olives should be on top of the salad so people are aware of what...
Read moreWe were a group of 4 people and chose this place to dine yesterday. Awesome pizza, fresh salad and all 4 different wines that we ordered were of high quality. It loses one star because we had to repeatedly ask to move to another table cause there was coming cold from outside and our initial table was hit with the cold airstream every 2 minutes. We asked politely two different waiters that we saw that they resorted to the manager before we could finally come to a solution to an otherwise easy rearrangement. 5/5 is reserved for the trully exceptional places so a decent 3/5 for pastabar that is a very nice place to dine to no matter this slight...
