This is a must do experience. Marios and his wife has a vision to build an oasis of a restaurant, a place where everyone can come and lose themselves in a timeless place that serves good (it's actually great!) food, has an open welcome whatever you come for, in a space that makes you feel instantly at home even though you are dining out.
They have successfully managed this, and so much more.
Set high up in Nissaki, with lovely views over the Bay, right over to Albania, the glass walled balcony tables allowed us full views, whilst feeling totally safe to enjoy it.
We dined early enough to arrive in the light, and to see the sun set change the night sky colours.
The menu was enticing and different from the traditional taverna fare you might receive. Aiuda (sorry for the spelling!?) carefully expanded on it with specials explained and drinks orders taken.
This is not a place that rushes you, you are encouraged to savour the setting and ambience. The decor is calming, the service unobtrusive. We all loved everything we ate. It is like a wonderful update of classic Greek dishes, beautifully presented and so full of flavour. The wine selection was well chosen and not overwhelming, same for cocktails and other drinks on offer.
The music was timeless classics mixed in with older songs that when combined just added to the feeling of being suspended in time, in a really great way.
This is hospitality at it's best. As vegetarians, in a land that caters better to those who prefer meat, we had choice and even when we asked for an amended meal, it was no trouble at all.
It does not take long to get around the island, so if you are somewhere on the North East of the Corfu, plan this in for sure, and if you are further South or west, consider making this a stop after visiting an attraction of choice in the area. I doubt you will be disappointed.
We are still talking about the experience now and it's three weeks since we had our evening experience at this lovely, well designed and delivered gem of a restaurant.
Thank you. We hope to be back and wish you every growing success.

Read moreWe visited here on our last day and couldn't believe how great the food was.
The restaurant is easy to find and parking is available outside. The interior is very clean and modern and the staff were really friendly and helpful.
We sat out at the back on the balcony area and enjoyed glorious, unobstructed views of the sea and Corfu town in the distance.
The selection of food on offer far exceeds anything else we have so far experienced on the island. Our go to restaurant is normally Janis's in Kassiopi, but this is up there with the quality and food on offer.
Our only wish is that we'd find it earlier in the holiday! The prices are extremely reasonable given the choice and quality and I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for quality food to try this restaurant out.
Next time we visit we'll check the breakfast offerings out.
Don't miss out on...
Read moreI cannot give Terra Corfiata enough stars! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with kindness into the beautiful, calm space of the restaurant. The specials were detailed to us and we did not have to wait long at all during any part of our service. The food was exceptional and delicious, tasted so fresh and like it had been considered and made with great care. The atmosphere; the ambience, lighting, décor and music were all completely classy and timeless as well as being a level above most other places. We came away from our meal feeling wonderfully sated as well as calm and peaceful. If you're wondering whether or not to come here: JUST DO IT! We will back back when we're next visiting Corfu! I wish other restaurants did it the way Terra...
