Almyra — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

An absolute gem of a bar/cafe with idylic views across the blue ionian sea. My family have gone back there across recent years because the team there always look after everyone impeccably in such a welcoming way. The smoothies are healthy, the food delicious, beautiful sea views, chilled music played out across an extended seating area (amongst some gorgeous ancient gnarled olive trees with a hammock and swing seat to relax in!) and lastly but also important a clean, well maintained toilet. Although listed as a beach bar it does a lot more than just drinks and cocktails, with a variety of good value, carefully made, well presented dishes to suit all tastes and diets and whatever time of the day. Can’t recommend this lovely place enough. We stayed up the road, and came here every day for breakfast, sometimes lunch, and definitely for evening drinks as the moon rises over the bay. The owners and all the staff must work 18 hours a day at least, but they were all so lovely and welcoming, and the service was wonderful. Definitely try the Greek omelette and the chicken mango salad. I’m allergic to gluten and was very well looked after (just make sure you mention it in case bread comes with the meal, they’re very generous). The local white wine here was the best we had and only €4.50. The perfect chilled spot, thank you so much for having us!

We absolutely loved this place! During our stay, we visited at least once a day—whether it was for coffee, drinks, dinner, a late-night ice cream, souvenirs, or the beautiful jewellery that now helps us relive memories of our Greek summer home.

Every detail is filled with love, the atmosphere is truly special, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. We tried other nearby restaurants (just so we wouldn’t show up here five times a day!), but none of them came close in comparison.
