This Taverna, has excellent Greek food, but with some unusual dishes, including vegetarian. It has a style and quality, which make it a cut above the usual. We stayed in the owner’s nearby village rooms which were beautifully restored and only a short walk away. The location is rural and tranquil but close to all amenities. It is an excellent base to explore the Lassithi plateau, the Dikti mountains and several sections of the E4. We popped into this place for dinner, lured by glowing reviews. Service kicked off on a high note, but soon they played a round of 'Let's Forget an Order'—spoiler alert: my friend lost. As for paying, the waiter turned into a financial advisor and unilaterally chose 'group billing' for us, followed by a dramatic performance when we questioned it. Πήγαμε για φαγητό τα Θεοφάνεια. Αδιάφοροι σερβιτόροι, περιμέναμε δύο ώρες με το ρολόι, φαγητό δεν ήρθε, μόνο κάτι κρύες τηγανητές πατάτες, κάτι κρύα άψητα σκιουφιχτά, και μια σαλάτα Το κρασί ήρθε μια ώρα μετά, χωρίς ποτήρια λάθος…το κάναμε ανταλλαγή με το διπλανό τραπέζι!!!! Ποτέ δεν ακούσαμε συγνώμη αλλά μας μίλησαν αγενέστατα επειδή μας κράτησαν όταν ρωτήσαμε αν υπάρχει τραπέζι χωρίς κράτηση!!! Όλος ο κόσμος και ήταν πάρα πολύς…διαμαρτυρήθηκε ότι περίμενε πάνω από δύο ώρες, δεν έφαγε, του έφεραν λειψή την παραγγελία και το φαγητό σε όσους ήρθε ήταν κρύο ή άψητο!!! Υπήρχε ουρά στο ταμείο γιατί ούτε το λογαριασμό έφερναν, και καθόταν ο καθένας και έλεγε τι πιάτα δεν του έφεραν για να βγει ο τελικός λογαριασμός!!! Το μέρος είναι πανέμορφο, είχαμε ξαναπάει και ήταν ωραία και πήραμε παρέα στο λαιμό μας!!! Φύγαμε νηστικοί!!! Τέτοιο πράγμα δεν μου έχει τύχει ποτέ ξανά!!! ΑΠΑΡΑΔΕΚΤΟΙ!!!!!
