We came to Patras as part of our 16days holiday to check out the Peloponnese Region. We came to this restaurant by a recommendation of my Greek colleague. The food did not disappoint, it was such a good feed we nearly had to be rolled out of the restaurant!

We got an eggplant dip with pistachio to share with a serve of bread each, every mouthful was creamy with toasted bread crunch. We went with their recommendation and shared a salted cod with garlic mash potatoes, we were forewarned you have to love garlic to order this and we ate it all! We wanted to see if the fresh frozen product were really fresh as mentioned, my husband got the fried squid which was frozen but it did not disappoint, batter so light and crunch and airy you pop it one after another non-stop.

I really liked my prawns cooked with Feta and Gruyere in tomato sauce. Make sure to ask for more bread to mop up all that delicious sauce. 4€ for 0.5litre jug of house red wine, the Patra Dioni beer was very good and hard to find elsewhere. The night ended with an orange and semolina cake with ice cream on the side.

When you come here, you know you're getting all homemade food only. Thank you for your Greek hospitality and for making our Peloponnese holiday that...

This place is hard to beat in every category. The restaurant is across the street from a public parking lot so parking is never an issue. The quality of their fresh fish, calamari and small fish such as sardines (which they serve grilled and we’ll seasoned) is excellent. Their fish soup is tasty and filling and their salads are varied and fresh. My family and I have been to Argo at least 25 times over the last few years and we have never been disappointed in the service or the quality of the food. The meals are always capped off by a serving of a home made dessert that is always delicious. In the end, you will find that the price of the meal will be surprisingly reasonable in comparison to other similarly situated quality restaurants....

Argo in Patras is a gem, earning a stellar 4.8/5 from 214 Tripadvisor reviews, ranking #3 of 262 restaurants. Specializing in seafood, it offers fresh, perfectly prepared dishes like swordfish and shrimp, with options to season yourself. The welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and terrific decor create a memorable dining experience. Guests rave about the local tentura liquor and tsipouro. With free parking, wheelchair accessibility, and pet-friendly policies, Argo excels in every category. Open daily from 1:00 PM, it’s a must-visit for delicious...

Great food, prices are reasonable, and house white wine was also of good quality. Well known for their seafood dishes. The service was attentive, helpful but not intrusive. A very popular restaurant with the locals, so get there before 9pm if you want a table. They have an English version of the menu available, and speak passable English. For those of you that don't like children swarming around everywhere, this can be a bit of a crèche, so be warned. Otherwise, you won't be disappointed.

It’s a very lovely place. You need to try all mezzes, be careful portions are big… first of all, everything was so fresh from calamari to octopus from zucchini to Greek salad what you pay here is exactly deserving the taste the experience, the atmosphere. The service is perfect… honestly, telling if you are somehow coming to Patras you should be tasting the food in this restaurant. I recommend you to come around 7 pm to 8 pm to see the sunset…
