Bodegas Summer — Restaurant in Municipality of Patras

I previously visited summer bodegas last year and I could easily say the food was great and had one of the best service in any restaurant in Patra. (I had left a 5 star review). This recent visit was completely disappointing. When I came in I was escorted to my reserved table. To start things off, the area near the ocean was unleveled compared to the rest of the restaurant. The waiters said that they could bring the menus at any time. They did not return to the table for another 30+ minutes so I never even got a chance to receive any menu. Finally, I got my menu. Ordered food but was not asked if we wanted any drinks for the table. Food took a long time, but was extremely well textured and was very flavorful. Easily still one of the best food in Patras for upscale. While taking my order and throughout my visit, staff was disrespectful. They were not attentive at all either, and not once did they visit the table to ask how was food, of we wanted anything else, etc. Cocktails were terrible. Dessert was also awful compared to last year (they even somehow messed up the sorbet) compared the the mango pannacotta they had last year (which was good). Lastly, the timing from each dish delivered for he table was porrly times and it is obvious that the waiters don't keep a close eye to the table at all which is really disappointing for a restaurant like this. Food was okay — stay away from the steak meat is tough , but service was the worst .. food taken ( 1/2 full plate ) without asking if you were finished. Ordered a spicy margarita and kept bringing a classic .. we gave up after the 3rd time ( they kept taking the same drink and trying to fix it instead of bringing a new one). The kicker was at the end of the night paid and after I used my credit card half way thru the transaction tells me oh we charge an additional fee for using a credit card ?!?!?. Never again …. the entire experience was transactional and ruined the experience of a nice atmosphere .need to spend time and money on...

Επισκεφθήκαμε για πρώτη φορά το χώρο χτες βράδυ. Τα άτομα με πιο habillé εμφάνιση τύχαμε καλωσορίσματος στην υποδοχή, ενώ τον σύζυγό μου με τον φίλο μας (που ήταν πιο casual ντυμένοι) τους υποδέχθηκαν με ένα ανακριτικό "Παρακαλώ; Παρακαλώ...Τι θα θέλατε;" και αισθάνθηκαν ότι πέρασαν από face control, ενώ χρειάστηκε να εξηγήσουν ότι τους περιμένει παρέα εντός του χώρου για να αλλάξει η στάση του εκκεντρικά ντυμένου κυρίου που στεκόταν στην πόρτα και να τους ευχηθεί "Καλή διασκέδαση" με χαμόγελο. Τα ποτά ήταν υπέροχα, το μπιφτέκι και το sushi που δοκιμάσαμε ήταν νόστιμα αλλά τίποτα το ιδιαίτερο για το κόστος τους, ο χώρος εξαίσιος, όμως ούτε το ύφος του μαγαζιού, ούτε η θέα, ούτε η διακόσμηση ταίριαζαν με τη σκυλο-pop μουσική που ακουγόταν στη διαπασών, δίνοντας έναν "δεύτερο" τόνο στο μαγαζί και υποβαθμίζοντας την ατμόσφαιρά του. Οι σερβιτόρες ήταν άκρως εξυπηρετικές και ευγενικές, όμως φαίνοταν εξαντλημένες (γεγονός εύλογο, καθώς ήταν λίγες για έναν τόσο μεγάλο χώρο). Η τιμή του μπουκαλιού 750ml του ανθρακούχου νερού ήταν τουλάχιστον αστεία (7€). Τέλος, η mousse au chocolat που παραγγείλαμε δεν ήταν mousse: Ήταν σαλάμι γλυκό (μωσαϊκό), με 2-3 πιτσιλιές πουρέ mango, μια μπάλα basic παγωτό και ένα βρώσιμο άνθος για το εφέ.

Edit: Μου κάνει εντύπωση που η διεύθυνση επικαλείται τον ρατσισμό και τις διακρίσεις, στα οποία το ίδιο της το προσωπικό υπέπεσε σε βάρος του συζύγου μου και της παρέας μας, καθώς και ότι το σχόλιό μου θεωρείται κακόβουλο, ενώ παρουσιάζει την συνολική εμπειρία μας (προβάλλοντας τα καλά και τα κακά της επίσκεψής μας). Εν πάση περιπτώσει, η λέξη "εκκεντρικός" χρησιμοποιήθηκε χωρίς κάποια χροιά, καθώς η σημασία της εξ ορισμού είναι ουδέτερου χαρακτήρα και όχι αρνητικού ή θετικού. Άλλωστε, "η εκκεντρικότητα συνδέεται συχνά με την ιδιοφυΐα, τη διανοητική χαρισματικότητα ή τη δημιουργικότητα."...
