The previous owners had better food, prices and hospitality. The most recent owners are rude and try to play it like they are 5 star. We went recently and I asked the waiter where we should sit. He asked if we had reservations. I said no. Then in a totally arrogant fashion he said ‘then how are you supposed to sit anywhere??’. Everyone in my four person group was offended. We retorted back ‘that’s why we asked where we should sit?’. He did seat us but then no one came to our table to give us any attention for over ten minutes even though there were a few staffers setting other tables in the empty restaurant. We had two types of sardines: floured and fried and butterflied and grilled; calamari that was crisply deepfried and not oily; and Greek the classics, fried feta, horiatiki salad, and potatoes fried as only Greeks can do. The fried feta was a pleasant surprise and the slouchy chicory from Crete was full of flavour. The squid was grilled to perfection. The fireplace next to the table was a great bonus.
