If you’re in Athens and love seafood, Ta Psarakia in Maoussi is a must. Tucked beside a charming plateia with the soft background of children playing, this restaurant offers an authentic and elevated Greek dining experience that truly impressed us.

We started with their dakos salad, and it was easily the best I’ve ever had – the tomatoes were bursting with flavour, the barley rusk perfectly soaked yet still firm, and the feta creamy and generously portioned.

We followed with a spread of seasonal vegetables, fried zucchini (light and crispy without any grease), and a delightful shrimp pasta that struck the perfect balance between freshness and richness. Every dish was impeccably prepared, using high-quality ingredients and infused with homemade flavour. You can taste that everything is freshly made.

The service was outstanding – warm, attentive, and professional without being intrusive. It’s the kind of hospitality that makes you feel both well looked after and genuinely welcome.

The setting was serene and picturesque. Dining al fresco near a lively square gave it a relaxed and cheerful vibe, especially with the sounds of children playing nearby adding to the charm.

The service is consistently excellent – the staff are warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. The food is well prepared, made with top-quality ingredients, and always fresh. You can truly taste the care that goes into every dish.

The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant – never too noisy – making it the perfect spot for a peaceful and enjoyable meal. A big bonus is the open square (platia) right next to the tavern, where children can play freely (bicycles, football, and lots of laughter!), giving parents a chance to truly unwind.

Although we live in an area full of fish taverns, we choose to drive all the way just to come here. It's not only the best in Melissia – it stands out among all the neighboring towns as well. Every visit is a wonderful experience from start to finish.

Το ψαράκια είναι μια φανταστική εμπειρία από την αρχή μέχρι το τέλος. Η ποιότητα του φαγητού είναι εξαιρετική, με κάθε πιάτο να ετοιμάζεται με τα πιο φρέσκα υλικά και υπέροχες γεύσεις.

Την πρώτη φορά που πήγαμε, παραγγείλαμε γαρίδες στη σχάρα, το πιο μαλακό χταπόδι και σαρδέλες με τον παραδοσιακό ελληνικό τρόπο. Οι ντομάτες ήταν απίστευτα φρέσκες και οι σαλάτες οι καλύτερες που έχω δοκιμάσει. Ως κηπουρός, εκτίμησα τα φρέσκα προϊόντα σε κάθε πιάτο.

Η εξυπηρέτηση στο ψαράκια είναι άριστη. Το προσωπικό είναι ευγενικό και φιλικό, κάνοντας τους επισκέπτες να αισθάνονται ευπρόσδεκτοι και καλά φροντισμένοι. Η αφοσίωσή τους στην εξαιρετική εξυπηρέτηση φαίνεται σε κάθε επαφή.

ψαράκια is a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. The food quality is excellent, with each dish prepared with the freshest ingredients and wonderful flavors.

On our first visit, we ordered grilled shrimp, the softest octopus, and sardines prepared the traditional Greek way. The tomatoes were incredibly fresh, and the salads were the best I've ever had. As a gardener, I truly appreciated the fresh produce in every dish.

Service at ψαράκια is top-notch. The staff are polite and friendly, making guests feel welcome and well cared for. Their dedication to great service shows in every interaction.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Located next to a church that worships Jesus Christ, it is family-friendly and mostly visited by locals, adding to the authentic Greek experience. The decor combines modern elegance with traditional Greek charm, creating a cozy and relaxing environment.
