What can I write about this gem... I am Cretan, from Heraklion, spending a few days in Chania. I did not expect that I should find a purely traditional restaurant that would take me to such a journey of flavours. If you enjoy the cretan cousine there is no question that you must visit this place. The atmosphere is also what crete is .. cretans have always spent their quality time in the tranquility and the cooler summer nights of their villages, not next to the hot sand. Still this place is a six minute ride from Gerani. What makes it a perfect 5/5 is the people. We had four children in the group who wouldn't stop running and speaking loudly yet they were treated with friendliness, kindness and acceptance just like we were in similar places when we were kids. This is the famous cretan hospitality.... it is irresistable to me. Last but not least, the price is right, about 15 euros per person for a rich meal. Thank you very much, see you...

This is a genuine family-run business, and the warmth shows. The staff are unfailingly friendly and kind, making you feel like a welcomed guest rather than just a customer. Prices are refreshingly fair, none of the inflated rates you often find in Chania’s old town.
A hidden gem of Cretan culinary authenticity, and absolutely worth the short drive...

Prices are very affordable. The ending of the dinner was highlighted with some nice cake and Raki. Efcharistó!!
The room with his high ceiling appears a bit like an old factory hall. I assume if it is full of guests that it could be very loud, which was not the case today. Parking is a challenge in the surrounding. With a little walk it should be possible to find a suitable landing spot.
For tasting traditional, regional and selfmade food this is a really good...
