Not sure where to start, but from arrival to departure this restaurant left us with a very disappointing experience.
We arrived as a party of 12 (six adults and children) and were seated inside without issue. The gentleman who greeted us appeared annoyed and never smiled, and another lady (in black satin dress, with heavy makeup - maybe the manager?) never acknowledged us at all.
The atmosphere didn’t help... the music was quite loud and the speaker was next to us in the corner. When we asked if it could be lowered, the barman simply replied that it wasn’t “his thing,” which felt dismissive.
When the food started coming, the issues continued. A cheese pizza was served instead of pepperoni. After apologizing, they simply added a few slices of pepperoni on top without reheating it. Orders for the rest of the table came out nearly 10 minutes apart. One risotto order was incorrect (mushroom instead of chicken), and the replacement took about 20 minutes to arrive, long after some of our group had already left.
The service throughout felt cold and unwelcoming. Servers repeatedly walked past us, often glancing over in a way that made us feel rushed to leave.
As for the food: overall, it was below average. My shrimp pasta lacked salt and flavor, and several others at the table felt their dishes were bland as well. The salad was the only dish we found reasonable.
When leaving, we again felt unwelcome, the same lady looked annoyed, avoided eye contact, and didn’t thank us or wish us good night.
Hospitality is about making guests feel comfortable and valued. Having worked as a waiter and bartender myself, I would rate this experience very poorly. I honestly don’t understand how this place holds a 4.4-star rating. For me, it’s a 1 star,...
Read moreI don’t know who’s running this kitchen, but they should be legally banned from using the word “Italian” to describe whatever disaster they’re serving. We started with the burrata, which was clearly defrosted and dumped onto a plate like no one gave a damn. It was kinda cold in the middle, rubbery on the outside—about as fresh as a brick. I’ve had better burrata from a grocery store refrigerator section. Then came the so-called “cheese plate.” What a joke. Sloppy, pathetic chunks of the most generic, tasteless cheeses you could find. It looked like someone hacked at a block of supermarket cheddar and called it artisanal. And the strawberry jam? Are you serious? It tasted like the cheapest, most artificial sugar sludge imaginable. A toddler with a spoon could have plated it better. And then the pizza. Jesus. It came out hot, I’ll give them that, but so does trash when it’s on fire. It was bland, boring, and had all the authenticity of a frozen pizza from an American discount store. Zero flavor. Zero character. Zero effort. It was the culinary equivalent of white noise. The wine was the only thing that didn’t make me want to walk out. I hope it was imported, because it’s the only thing that tasted remotely Italian. Avoid this place for food, If you have any respect for Italian food—or your taste buds—go literally anywhere else. But this place is actually very beautiful and has an amazing interior and exterior design, I will recommend it only for drinks. Update: Never mind guys i threw up 3 hours later, just...
Read moreWe were very happy that the new place like this opened in our beloved Panorama. And last Saturday it was full, so we came on Monday. The service is great. English speaking stuff, very polite, gentle and attentive. Negrony was great. Perfect. But the signature Little Italy cocktail tasted like they forgot to put alcohol inside - only soda water. The soup was tasty, but the portions are really a half of what you usually get in any good restaurant od Thessaloniki. The pizza was amazing. The dough was literally one of the best I've tasted in Thessaloniki. But the size... We've order 2 pizzas. One of them we ate inside was not so big, but the other - that we ordered to take away was even smaller (like 20 cm or less). Guys, really, though it was really delicious, 13 euro is too much. Risotto was pretty good, we enjoyed every spoon. But Pasta al Nero was another little disappointment. The shrimps were extremely delicios, but the pasta was very soft and overcoocked. Guys, with all due respect, the name of your restaurant is Little Italy. Don't you know that classical dark italian pasta can be cooked al-dente only? To summarize the above: for the prices like this place offers you expext something magic and amazing. Unfortunately, I can only say that it was not bad. Definitely worth...
