to the attitude of the waiter. He was extremely rude and insisted that we sit further away just because we said we were still deciding between drinks and food. We were a group of six and there were plenty of free tables, but he refused to let us sit where we wanted, claiming they were reserved — even though there were no “reserved” signs on them.

When we pointed that out, he replied sarcastically with: “Is it like this that you talk about me?” From that moment on, he deliberately ignored us, took a long time to come back to take our order, and even made us wait 20 minutes just for some ketchup.

The view is amazing, but unfortunately, the way we were treated ruined the whole experience. We believe customers should be treated with respect — instead, we were made to feel like we didn’t matter at all. A little kindness from the staff would have made all...

When I came here by myself, it reminded me of my earlier solo travels — times when certain places were not very accommodating to single women. I sat down at a table, and when I asked to move it slightly out of the sun — it was gloriously hot — the waitress told me that wasn’t possible.

I then asked if I could sit at another table. There were four large empty ones nearby, but she said they were all reserved. It’s now been half an hour, and only one of those tables has had two more people join it. I even mentioned that I was only here for a drink.

It would be wonderful if all guests were treated with dignity and respect. Crete used to be a place where nearly everyone embodied true hospitality. Sadly, that seems to be much less the case now — and this experience was yet another reminder...

Great place, looks expensive but isn't. There's a beach and a small Chapel on the left and a big parking spot on the right. A bit of a hassle to get there if you come from Chania direction. Great food for a fair price and the staff is very friendly and had has a good sence of humor!!! I definitely recommend this place to everybody who goes to Crete!

Above was 2019, i came back in 2025 and was disappointed! Menu was not what i remebered. After we ordered i my food but was with fries instead of requested rice, not one leaf of veggie what so ever.. After we ate our food the waiter returned with desert and the bill though we did not ask for it. Before we even finished the waiter was back asking if we wished to pay. Strong vibe of getting us...
