Just past Kamiros Scala is a gem on the Aegean. With a great view, wonderful and quirky decor, kids play area, ample parking and welcoming staff I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the food and the atmosphere. 200 Euros covered our party of eight all to capacity which is unusual. The platter of lamb chops was succulent, the fish platter for 2 was delicious, potatoes wedges large and cooked perfectly. We had one Greek salad for the whole table and everyone had their fill. A bit disappointed with the cuttlefish but that was my mistake in letting it get cold while I gorged myself on the fish platter.
The atmosphere was so relaxing and quiet. A little windy but that was to be expected in April. A walkway to a private beach winding down the side of the cliff with shower and change room was inviting. The whole restaurant has been painted in blue and white with a nautical theme. The accents all around the area were interesting and entertaining. There are full hand sanitizer bottles on every second upright of the dining area which was nice to see.
There is a kid's play area in the central courtyard with well maintained and safe equipment. A pool table covered the adult pool sharks in our company.
Usually one does not talk about such things but I was highly impressed with the cleanliness and decor of the bathroom. One thing that made a huge impression was the hot water in the wash basin. This was a first for me in all the restaurants I have been to in Rhodes. Nothing better than washing your hands in hot water after eating prawns or lamb chops!
The tables are set far apart from each other so we were not crowded at all and safe from other patrons. We sat there chatting for 4 hours and we were totally relaxed. The drive is around 45 minutes from Rhodes town but...
Read moreI’ve had the chance to dine at many restaurants around the world, and I’m not the kind of person who documents every place I visit. But this particular restaurant sparked something special — a warm, almost nostalgic feeling that doesn’t come around often.
The food is authentic Greek, but not just any Greek food — it’s clearly cooked with love, precision, and a kind of creativity that’s rare to find, especially in Rhodes. I don’t know the woman behind the kitchen, but whoever she is, she deserves the highest praise for her outstanding work.
Every bite reminded me of my mother’s cooking and the flavors of childhood — comforting, soulful, and deeply satisfying.
As for the location, I won’t say much — it’s simply magical. Go see for yourself.
The restaurant is impeccably clean, and the staff are all smiles — polite, attentive, and thoroughly professional.
Thank you so much for a truly...
Read moreOne of the most beautiful restaurants we have ever been to! Amazing views of the sea from a cliff and beautiful theme in white and blue. The food was as amazing as it can get! We were recommended to try the day's special lamb which was cooked overnight in olive oil white wine and rosemary. It was the best lamb I have ever tasted. The moussaka was insane! Melting in the mouth with such a rich taste and full of flavors. The smoothies were also amazing and made with absolutely the freshest ingredients! We had one of the best culinary experiences!
Ametheta, which means indescribable (something that needs to be experienced and cannot be put in words) is a family owned and run restaurant for the last 15 years. The whole family was so welcoming and friendly! We even got a watermelon 🍉 desert on the house!
We highly recommend this place and I'm sure you will not be...
