Makedonia Fish Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

Charming family-run fish restaurant that delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences on the island. Set against the backdrop of Kamiros Skala marina on the Aegean Sea, the location alone is worth a visit, but it’s the food and hospitality that truly make it exceptional. The dining area is outdoors, in the open air, with a menu that highlights the freshest local catch. The grilled fish of the day is moist and perfectly seasoned. I didn’t try the calamari, octopus, or shrimp, but I heard they are as fantastic as the other dishes. The sardines, red mullet, anchovies, and dorado are just perfect. All versions of the red mullet dish are excellent, though I personally preferred the grilled one. Tzatziki, salads, and souvlaki are all fresh and full of flavor. I recommend finishing your meal with a cup of strong Greek coffee.

The staff are welcoming, attentive, highly professional, and happy to recommend local drinks that pair perfectly with the meal. What makes the experience even more special is the relaxed pace. There is a parking lot for restaurant visitors, as well as more space down by the ferry.

Altogether, this restaurant combines excellent cuisine, warm Greek hospitality, and an idyllic setting, making it a must-visit culinary highlight in Rhodes. It is situated on the main road to Prasonisi or, in the other direction, to...

I don’t often review places. I chose to give five stars because not only do they get the food perfect - at really great prices - but they totally understand the meaning of hospitality. Full story required.

We were arriving at 1100 and missed the ferry so the next one was 1700. They offered to hold our bags all day so we could walk around the area, even if we didn’t eat at the restaurant, for free. We of course did eat there and it was all fantastic. As we headed out on the Halki ferry they gave my son some beach toys for the week we would be there, with no expectation of us returning them later in the week or paying for them.

I’ve rarely come across this sort of family run place in all my travels. If there were a sixth star they’d get it; it’s the sort of place I’ll keep coming back...

Lovely authentic restaurant with very friendly staff and great homemade food! Best place if you want to get away from the busy touristic places and experience some true hospitality. We took the fresh grilled fish of the day and I can say it's one of the best I ever had. Simple but perfectly prepared and the price for its size absolutely fair. We saw that place when we drove by during the day and the grandpa of the family who owns this place stayed on the terrace to wave at all the people passing by. Doing that in a very polite and nice way so we decided to come there for dinner and are definitely happy we did so. We enjoyed a perfect meal and a lovely chat with the owners. Sad that this time we won't be able to go there again but if we come back to Rhodes for...
